Location is good( safer than the hotel we cancelled due to poor reviews on the last min). Hosts were ok, they asked for $40 for the additional person on the check out day that was not discussed or agreed before. On Expedia, it showed the same charge for room with two beds and 3 people. The breakfast was poor quality. Conversation with the hosts was good in the beginning but he seemed to enjoy discussing politics and religion unnecessarily. We changed our mind staying elsewhere on our last day out from AK.

My husband and I so enjoyed our recent stay at Maria’s. Our room was very spacious, very comfortable and nicely decorated. It was located on the ground floor facing a creek with a very quiet setting. The homemade breakfasts that Maria served were excellent with fresh fruit, eggs, sausage and an amazing French toast. In addition, we had some great conversations with Maria and her husband Robert sharing their history and so much local information on Alaska. This place is definitely a gem to stay at for travelers!
