Really spacious bedroom and made such a nice change staying in a pub rather than the normal Premier Inn / Travel Lodge etc.

After reading other comments I think it’s changed hands a few months ago so I’m making an allowance.
In saying that the constant reviews recently were all saying about the poor beds. This is probably the one thing that hasto change. The delux room (not sure what constitutes it being delux) beds were very much sub standard. The double sunk in and the single when placing my hand on the mattress to test the firmness, has all the springs pushing through which once laying on was extremely uncomfortable.
Change the mattresses and invest in new towels and it will make so much difference on the reviews.
The price for the night was cheap so if your looking for cost only, it’ll do you fine.

Sorry to say that,The property not for suggesting to someone.its very poor experience in our life. Smoking smells and very bad furnitures. Couldn't sleep well because of damaged bed. Any way i won't be there with my family again there.

My first room double had a broken bed. When I tried to leave on Christmas morning I could not open the door I tried ringing but no-one answered. I had to ring my son who lives Saltash he came to the Brunel and was able to raise the alarm with the hotel. They gave me the room next door which was ok. What have I been charged for this 4 night stay.

Not good. The dog muck in the car park should have been a warning. Staff were lovely really helpful but the place is tired, bed’s uncomfortable I’d say the bed needs replacing. Mattress broken. Dirty towels in room. Hairs in sink. Needs a complete re fit to be on par with other places i stay in using Hotels.com. This is below the standards I expect. Was cheap but id happily pay more for better. No ales. Only lager.

Some allowances must be made as the Brunel is an old building such as the floors are a bit uneven, windows are single glazed. There was little hot water and water pressure was poor however the rooms were warm and the bed was comfortable. The Brunel does not serve breakfast but next door is the Fresh Fox, a good café or Olivia's Brews and Bites across the road, well worth a visit. Bar meals are served in the evenings.

Good place for one night and affordable! It looks so on a busy street so the road noise can be an issue. The local food was great! Spanish restaurant down the hill on the river was outstanding

A pretty good room for the night given what I had paid.
The bed creaked a lot, but I didn't sleep badly on it. Room was a good size, check in was easy and the location was good.

Great price and location. Teamed up with neighbours to supply breakfast at reduced price.
Nothing really to add, clean and functional, allows pets. Pub staff very friendly and helpful, would stay again and bring family.
