I had a very good experience staying at this hotel. the room was very comfortable and clean, the breakfast was good (though I'd suggest you add eggs to the selection) its location is far from any city lights with a nice mountainous view all around and the outdoor hot-tub is the icing on the cake (and guests can use it freely!) I was lucky enough to have clear skies with strong northern lights when I stayed there. Relaxing and chatting with other guests in the tub when outside is 7 degrees centigrade and watching the starry night and the cosmic show was definitely an experience I will never forget

Reviews said the hot tube was not very hot, wrong. The tub was perfect. The only problem for us was getting the shower to stay one temperature. The water was either to hot or to cold. Breakfast was great, beds were comfortable, great WiFi was very good. We were on the south coast for three days and the location was perfect.

You couldn’t ask for a more scenic location for this hotel…mountains literally just outside your windows! And with the lupines in full bloom…it was breathtaking! The hot tub out back was a great way to unwind at night and breakfast had a wide variety of food offered…great start to the day!

The location is stunning, and especially wonderful if you are exploring the Iceland southern coast. There is no staff on site. The staff were not especially responsive. We stayed at multiple other hotels that contacted us as our check in approached (a day or two in advance). We had read that the staff at Lambafell were hard to reach, so I messaged the day before, and got no response. And then the morning of our check in, with no response. We finally received a message with check in instructions a few hours before check in. It would be much appreciated if the staff were more responsive to messages. The room was small but clean and charming. The breakfast was solid.

The hotel has a lot of character. Magnificent front foor. Beautiful, picturesque location. Serves delicious hot breakfast. The rooms were clean and warm with comfy beds. We didn't receive the email with check in instructions, but luckily there was a member of staff present, who helped us out.

Property was Very clean and rooms were cosy and comfortable Check-in was not ideal. They sent an email that day itself about check-in instructions but we didn't know about it and there was no one around to help or answer questions. It was a guest who told us if we got any messages that we checked or email. Then we had issues with correcting to Wi-Fi as data reception was not great. Breakfast selection was not great. Would be great if they offered more fruit and salad.

The advertising was misleading as we spent extra so we could have a hot tub, it was cold and dirty. There is no one on site so I emailed to see if they could fix it but no one replied. The rooms were fine and clean and the location was remote and pretty. Breakfast was ok, but only a couple hot items that were almost cold.

No staff on-site! If you have a problem or issue with anything, you have no recourse. We had two water leaks coming from the ceiling! Don't bother trying to call any of the "contact phone numbers" provided, no one will answer. Don't bother emailing either, no will get back to you. This place was an absolute nightmare!
