Fabulously located hotel just north of Porto Montenegro, quiet and slightly tucked away from the crowds. We had a suite in the annex which looked very recently refurbished and was spacious and comfortable. Beautiful terrace right by the water. My only real criticism is that the hotel and adjoining restaurant seem to be run separately,although both owned by the same group. On our first morning we were told,by restaurant staff,that there was no table for breakfast as we had not booked although nobody at the hotel has explained that it was necessary to book. This rather disconnected feel continued for our 4day stay. Not a big thing really and certainly no reason not to come here.

Lovely hotel in a beautiful location. I had a room with a terrace overlooking the bay and it was great. The restaurant could use some fine tuning. Breakfast is not available until 8:30 and then fills up with guests eager to get out and do things which results in a long delay for food and beverage service. I suggested opening for breakfast earlier which was met with a tepid response. Dinner service could also use a bit of polish although the food was good. Overall a nice stay.

Our 2 rooms had a large balcony directly over the water with pontoon to swim each day before breakfast, quiet beautiful view across the bay, and relaxing. The modern marina had better food than anywhere we have been, live staged outdoor opera and many shops-if you like designer things. The ferry is 3 minutes an away which saves a lot of driving from the Croatian border if coming from Dubrovnik, the breakfasts are local cuisine influenced. So a quiet place with serious evening activities near but not within ear to be heard distance or view.

Charming hotel with lovely views

Would have loved to stay longer at this cozy hotel! Super helpful and friendly staff, nice and cool room and a wonderful restaurant outside. The location just by the water is dreamy and we appreciated that it was a little bit away from all the other hotels and restaurants. Nice and calm area with a short walk to other beach bars, restaurants etc. We had to have an early check out to get to the flight and missed out on the breakfast, but they packed us three(!) generous boxes with sandwiches, pastries, chia puddings and fruit. The only negative thing that I could think of is that the hotel doesn’t have an elevator. But on the other hand the staff gladly helped us with our bags - so big plus for them!

Carubba was exactly as lovely as we have been thought beforehand. The staff were very helpful. The breakfast was special but the portions were hugh! We could have leave the food but it was too good to leave! The room (12) was probably the best! One tiny minus concerns the small area between the sea and sun beds. It could have been cleaned daily.

Loved our stay here. Killer views, close private beach for a dip. Rooms were clean and nice. Not huge rooms but fine for us. This is a place if you want the quieter vacation as most restaurants/shops are about a 15 minute walk from the hotel. Breakfast was really good here, but wife and I weren’t really impressed with the dinner. They take a break serving through the lunch hour till about 4. Most staff was friendly and kind. Front desk was really helpful with things like cell phone power adapter for European power and calling taxis as well as recommendations. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Lots of privacy, serenity, walking distance to local grocery shops , bakery and restaurants if you decide to change the menu ( even though they’ve got an incredible chef ) , and presentation is top notch . This is a boutique hotel with only a few rooms in a fabulous position in the village of Donja Lastva, about one mile from Tivat, right on the waterfront overlooking Boka Bay. Cleanliness is excellent and the reception staff speak good English and are exceedingly helpful. It is a 19th century two storey building and has no lift so this should be borne in mind for those with limited mobility. There are two restaurants in the village one of which, Punto Crudo, is connected to the hotel and provides an excellent free breakfast to hotel guests. Dinner is served from 5.00 pm and the food is of a good international standard although the menu is limited. Big Ben restaurant is about 700 metres away towards Tivat. This is a lively, noisy restaurant which should appeal to younger people. There are numerous restaurants a little further on in Tivat at various price levels and are just a short taxi ride away. There are minor inconveniences like no local taxis near the hotel (they are called to the hotel from Tivat); no snacks, just drinks, are available at the hotel between 11.00 am and 5.00 pm but the excellent breakfast should see one through the day. I recommend this hotel for those who enjoy peaceful surroundings and the ability to swim in the sea directly from the hotel quay.

A must stay in Tivat!

We had the absolutely best time at this hotel. Everything was amazing. The air conditioning in the room was perfect, the bed was so comfortable with incredible pillows, and the shower was really spacious. Every room has a view of the water which was breathtaking. The private beach area for hotel guests was lovely and the water was so beautiful for swimming. We stayed for four nights and dined in the restaurant every evening as the view was stunning and you are seated right on the water! The food was very high quality, highly recommend the beef cheeks and the tuna and my partner loved the octopus. Breakfast every morning was beautiful and I definitely recommend the pancakes. All of the staff were so accommodating in both the hotel and the restaurant. When they realised it had been my birthday while we stayed, they brought up an amazing bottle of sparkling wine up to the room as a complimentary gift! They were very helpful in letting us know about a bus to take a day trip to Kotor which helped us save money we would have spent on taxis. They also arranged airport transfers which were an additional cost but huge peace of mind. We would definitely stay here again and can't recommend it enough!
