Located in the heart of the old town Kotor, Hotel Hippocampus is an excellent boutique hotel. Just 3 min walking from both sea gate and river gate, hotel Hippocampus is manned by excellent friendly staffs. Our superior room was very clean, beautiful stylish luxurious interior, very comfortable bed and very clean bathroom. The breakfast served was freshly made and tasteful. Highly recommended for a perfect stay in Kotor.

Staff is friendly and helpful! The unfortunate part of the stay is the hotel is surrounded by 3 bars so it was loud late into the night, not a good sleep.The AC didn't really work so we had a warm room. Hotel could improve by fixing missing baseboards and broken light fixtures in the hallway, Broken and missing toilet flush mechanism in the downstairs restroom. Not sure why we had a second refrigerator in the room that didn't work? Breakfast was good and plenty. Hotel needs maintenance!

Great hotel in beautiful Kotor

We loved our stay at the Hippocampus. All of the staff we met were really friendly and welcoming. The room was large and comfortable and breakfast was good (although a little more variety would have been welcome). The hotel is in the heart of the old town making it perfect for exploring beautiful Kotor - but it does mean it is noisy at night being next to a bar - the only downside in an otherwise amazing stay.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of the old town

If I could give the hotel 10 stars, I would. It was a beautiful boutique hotel right in the heart of the old town. The room was quirky and just beautiful. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Probably one of the best that I have stayed at.
