My stay was so pleasant. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The location is the most important part for me. It's walking distance to restaurants and shop. Also walking distance to Sky Tower where the bus terminal is located. I felt safe during my stay.

You get what you pay for here. Overall the room was acceptable for the price we paid for it. Ac was a necessary addition that I’m glad they had. Slight stain on the bedsheets, and the shower was okay. There was no mention before booking that you had to pay to park on the property. 30 dollars a night. Would stay again for one night only. Staff was very helpful and kind! Front desk took care of us with a great attitude.

Would not recommend - bed bugs be aware! This is a terrible hotel, it is not clean, looks like they don't have a vacum cleaner and the hotel does not take any complaints seriously. For the first time in my life I got bitten by bed bugs at this hotel during my stay, which also gave me an allergic reaction and this cost me multiple visits to the doctor as well as causing me significant emotional distress. The hotel did not take any of this seriously and never got back in touch with an apology, they do not answer phone calls and clearly do not care about customer satisfaction and cleanliness. If only the hotel management stayed at the hotel and had the same experience, they would then understand how awful it is. Terrible!

The reception was undergoing some works so there was metal cages at the front. The lifts were really run down and grimy. The room was dirty and dusty and had black mould on the walls and curtains. The bathroom was also incredibly unclean and I didn’t shower because I felt dirtier in there than I did just not using the facilities. The staff were friendly but after saying checkout was 11am, they knocked on the door at 9am asking us to leave. The air conditioning didn’t work and it was freezing cold. They put an electric heater in the room but didn’t want to leave it on overnight.

The beds were comfortable and warm and being so close to Queen street it was surprisingly quiet and peaceful. The room we initially booked had a broken TV,and we weren't told ahead of time. There mini fridge was on the floor and carpet near it was wet,but we didn't notice right away. The staff moved us to another room for a different reason that was by no means their fault. The new room was exactly the same layout but so much cleaner and fresher than the 1st one. Made us realise how the 1st one wasn't great. I must commend staff who moved us to a better room when we realized the neighbour was smoking ( not allowed in the building)and it was coming through the vent in our bathroom. The building does need a bit more attention to the smaller details, eg hygiene could do with a small improvement. Other than that, it was a good stay

I stayed at a ascotia off queen motel Auckland on the 21-7-2026 when I walked in to our room I thought it was okay I asked for extra blankets for me & my son when I saw the blankets they was both dirty with dirt on one and grey hair or dog fur on the other I took them both straight down to reception and showed them I was not impressed at all. The next morning where ever I stay in a motel I always strip the bed for the cleaner's oh mate how could they not see what was on the mattresses when they make the bed it had blood staines all over on both mattresses you can tell it been there for age's so I took photos of it all and showed the guy at reception how could you let me and my son sleep on that dirty paru bed for one night all he said was oh can you email me the photos so I did no apologe at all never ever again I would stay there or even recommend my family and friends to stay there at all I'm still waiting on my refund of my bond from this motel they said it be in my account in a couple of day's still haven't received it yet.😡👎
