My friend and i have just returned from a two nights trip we stay in room 4 which is a twin room on the second floor. The room was very clean and well maintained. We received a email from bill the owner the night before about gaining access to the property and the code .my friend and o had a lovely stay the property is in a great location right next to st marys church and the centre of town. We would definitely stay at this property again . When next in Whitby xx

Just had a great weekend in Whitby and stayed at this marvellous guest house and the owner Bill was there to greet me and noticed i was from Sunderland immediately and was very interested in my team, the top room was lovely and i had a great nights sleep and very comfortable.

Loved my stay here. Very close to the beach and to town. Clean, quiet and comfortable. I walked via the Cleveland Way trail to Robin Hood's Bay one day and took the bus back to Whitby. Fabulous four day stay here!

The Argyle was a lovely guest house. A good walk to the front, but enjoyable. I couldn't comment on the staff, because there weren't any! All booked online, keys and car parking disc, left in an envelope at the door. Very difficult to get in touch with the owners if you needed anything. Too impersonal for me, I like a meet and greet.

Very Quirky B&B, all the rooms are decorated in a Goth style. Ideal if your looking for the 'Dracula' feel in Whitby. Big carved bed, very comfortable. If you run out of tea, coffee etc you just help yourself to more from the reception desk. Will definitely stay again.
