Hotel Isis is a lovely friendly little hotel, handy for the free ferries. Although a bit dated the hotel is clean & the staff were lovely, friendly & helpful. My only personal grievance is being a true Brit I couldn't get a cup of tea.😆, only coffee available in the vending machine.

Good budget option for Amsterdam, which has a fairly pricey hotel market. Ideal for solo travelers who plan to be out and about all day and just need a safe, clean room at night. The close proximity to the free ferry was fantastic, drops you right at the main train station and has a great schedule. Also loved that I could rent a bike directly from the hotel. Although their bikes could use some maintenance, I found a functional one and was able to ride it all over the place. The rental fee is much cheaper than any other bike shop I searched. Having a fridge in the room was clutch for dining on a budget. I just wished there was an electric kettle as well. The room was a bit stuffy and lacked A/C, but the provided fan was a big help. The staff were all great, easy check in process and no issues with luggage storage once I checked out. Overall, this is a solid option for cost conscious travelers.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly (some of the friendliest staff I have met). The rooms were a little hot due to Amsterdam experiencing warmer than normal temperatures, but the staff did everything they could to keep us as comfortable as possible and were very attentive to our experience. We were given a larger room for the first few days of our stay for the same price. The hotel was quiet and set in a peaceful neighborhood, which was very nice after a day of dealing with crowds. Like many of the older buildings in Amsterdam, the stairs are a bit steep, but are easy to manage if one doesn't rush. Overall, it was a great stay.

The property is in a good spot in a residential area. You have access to rental pikes right from the hotel as well as public transportation a short walk away. The rooms are a good size and the bathrooms were clean. It is an older building and it has some wear and tear but if you can get past that it's a solid place to stay. The staff were friendly and very helpful.
