Very clean. Incredibly helpful staff. Fun check-in experience at the bus, definitely different than your typical hotel. However, the room felt a bit cramped, and small. And there were unnecessary appliances like a fan (not needed in October) and a couple of lamps occupying half of the only table. Still, it was well taken care of, and the restaurant had delicious food. I would recommend for a different quirky stay.

No door on the bathroom in the bedroom, which wouldn't be a problem if I couldn't see the toilet from the bed. If you'd like privacy when you go to the toilet, this might not be for you. But other than that, the venue is amazing and the staff were incredible

The room was really dark and I didn't like the open plan layout with the toilet in the bedroom (no privacy). The room décor was tired and the jacuzzi didn't work. Only 5 hangers which the staff quickly remedied. Lovely long decking area but it hadn't been cleaned and had no decking furniture so you couldn't sit outside. The staff were absolutely super though and the food was amazing. We ate in the Thai restaurant one evening which was great. Also the Oak Restaurant and again the food was super - and we had a really great breakfast each day. The whole place is fantastically unique, quirky and beautiful when all lit up at night. The farm shop 2 mins walk up the road is a must - it was fabulous and again the staff were absolutely super, friendly and very helpful. Oh and the bed and pillows were fantastically comfortable so we slept really well - just what you need when away for a country break!

The crazy bear was great. We stayed in a cosy room which has a lovely bath and was huge. Proce was very reasonable as we stayed during the week in January. The food is a bit expensive but you don't have to eat there.

It’s nearly excellent but …….

Our first visit with high expectations. I have to say that from start to end staff were exceptional. The only negative sadly was the food quality, the Thai was highly recommended and was really poor in quality and taste, this was however dealt with with the utmost professionalism by management so not a complaint rather constructive feedback to hopefully make dishes more authentic Thai and of quality befitting the price. I also found the breakfast overpriced and poor quality and so would avoid in all honesty. Rooms certainly are quirky with open plan bedroom/bathroom, certainly not for everyone so be aware, I am unaware if all rooms are built like that do worth an ask before booking if you like st little privacy at times.

Too dark

I was looking forward to this stay but was slightly disappointed. The room was small and dark and the shower water didn’t drain properly. The hand wash in the bathroom was empty and when reported su was given some shower gel sample bottles!!! The phone in the room did not function or not answered so had to come down to reception to report. Also disappointed that the Thai restaurant is closed on Tuesday which was not mentioned in the website!! So we had to eat what was on offer in the English restaurant. The hotel grounds and garden was beautiful with the greenery and the lights I accept the Rustic theme but seemed a bit outdated!!!! The staff at the bar were helpful and seemed helpful!

It was the most perfect room, we stayed in one of the decadent rooms at is was perfect from the decor to the bed and walk in shower wet room it was glorious. The most perfect escape to relax with everything you need, it was beautiful in the heat with the air conditioning being perfect and the room cool from the second we walked in. Dinner and Breakfast were faultless it was the most delicious food. I only have one fault of opening the cupboard containing the dressrobes and ironing it appears a previous guest left a pair of socks and these had not been removed so unsure on the level to which the room was cleaned & inspected before hand. Would definitely go back with the hope no more belongings would be left for us to find
