Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff very helpful, easy check in. Parking available in car park behind pub. We got there bout 10.30 - 11.00 on a weekday morning and were lucky to get last spot. Very good location and great view from bedroom window. Good breakfast too.

Clean room and bathroom. Nice view of the river and Whitby from the window! Plenty of coffee and tea in the room. Breakfast was great too! My only complaint is the bed was hard, ended up sleeping on top of the comforter.

Hotel in a great location, rooms above a pub but didn't hear any noise. Rooms had everything we needed including a great view. Breakfast was excellent too. Great staff, couldn't do enough for us unlike larger chain hotels.

The Dolphin is a lovely pub with helpful staff and a great position in Whitby. Parking was an issue and we had to park at a car park about half a mile from the pub. It was very busy when we arrived, but once upstairs the noise was minimal. We had a harbour view room which was large and beautiful. The breakfast was lovely with really helpful staff. Our only two criticisms were that they were having problems with the gas supply so some of the breakfast items were not available (mushrooms, fried eggs) and the chandelier in our room was hanging from the ceiling by its wire.

Well this is the worst hotel we have ever stayed in 😡 Our room - I reported it as there was still lots of sugar & coffee granules on the unit near the kettle Stair way - absolutely disgusting full of dust & grime Breakfast- I asked for poached egg to be told they only do fried egg or scrambled egg Have been to Whitby many times and my husband always fancied staying in the Dolphin - never again - what a waste of money

This is a room in a pub. But our room was to a high standard and almost large enough to be a suite. Absolutely in the centre of Whitby. Breakfast was good and hearty too. Could do with more power sockets in the room, though.
