The front desk staff were wonderful, so kind, helpful, and knowledgeable at every interaction. The room was well-designed, the bed comfortable, the bathroom good-sized with plenty of towels. Housekeeping restored the room to perfection every day. The views from my room were great, and the rooftop views were spectacular. The free coffee in the morning was tasty. A very pleasant stay!

If you are traveling alone, or with a close companion, this room had everything you might need -- a bed that comfortably sleeps one or two, has 4 pillows. Also a TV, wifi, blackout shutters, a shower, a toilet. It's not the smallest of rooms, but close. I lived in NYC for 40 years and felt safe and comfortable. The neighborhood is good, too. I take these reviews very seriously. Did I mention it is quiet, even though it is next to the elevator? The staff is friendly, kind, and helpful. Plenty of towels, and a nice, warm blanket, too.

The room is incredibly small. We had a queen. My teenaged daughter and myself for 5 nights and there isn’t even enough room to open both of our suitcases at the same time. We were constantly juggling our bags just to access what we needed. The area is good. Room was clean and A/C worked well. But they also charge a $29/day fee for amenities of which I didn’t see. I know hotels in nyc are expensive but if you’re going to stay here, make sure you’re with someone you don’t mind being VERY cozy with. And don’t bring too much luggage.

Pod39 was like staying in a nicely furnished prison cell with a private bath. It was perfect for what I needed. The staff was very courteous and helpful. I did not use the amenities at all, so cannot comment on their usefulness.

This was the perfect hotel for a solo trip. Clean, comfortable, great location, and the staff was super friendly. The only negative i saw was that the bathroom door had an open spot instead of a doorknob - no big deal for me, but people traveling together might want more privacy!

Very small room. Reminded me of a hostel but private. Twin bed, not the comfiest of pillows or plushest of towels. Weird blinking green light on the ceiling, was kinda hard to sleep. In a prime upscale location and the price per night reflects that. I also had to pay a hefty deposit which I'm unsure if I will ge getting back. All in all, a bit rich for my taste and I will be slumming it in Jersey next time.
