The Pod 39's staff were friendly and helpful. My room had a comfortable bed (upgraded gratis from double- to queen-sized), and the bath facilities were well-designed and clean. Generally, I appreciate the Pod 39's minimalist aesthetic and the competitive pricing.that result from it, but in my case this jewel had a flaw: my second-floor room was located near a loud HVAC unit that groaned on an off all night long. Fortunately my active noise-cancelling earbuds were comfortable enough to sleep with; I would have spent a miserable night without them. I will consider staying at Pod 39 again but would be certain to perform a sound-check before settling into my assigned room.

Unique find for this price. I’ve stayed at many hotels in New York, but never been as happy as here. The rooms are small, but very well fitted, clean and with good aircondition. And the rest of the hotel, from common areas to the rooftop and bar was great. Staff was very welcoming and cool too. 10/10 would recommend
