We had a wonderful stay at Hotel de l'Amphitheatre. Olivier and his brothers couldn't have been more helpful from everything to graciously allowing us an early check in, to suggesting an excellent restaurant for dinner, to helping sort out our parking. I would highly recommend this property for not only its perfect location but primarily for the hospitality of the owners.

The host was absolutely amazing and wen above and beyond our expectations. He was able to check in us earlier and made sure we felt very welcomed and looked after. Indeed an amazing experience. The proprietors were very welcoming and gracious. The breakfasr was outstanding with eggs, ham, excellent bread, yogurt, cereal, fruits, jams, good coffee and tea. The bedoom was large and well-appointed and the bathroom was large with a nice bathtub.Close to the Roman amphitheatre and other attractions. Shopping was nearby. Highly recommended.

A little gem

Lovely, warm welcome and help with recommendations of places to eat. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable and tastefully decorated. The hotel is in a great location close to restaurants and bars, and also to the amphitheatre, which is definitely worth a visit. Nimes is a beautiful place and we're looking forward to a return trip.

A fantastic location for accessing everything there is to see and do in Nîmes. There was a concert at the Arena the evening I stayed, however the noise wasn’t bad at all. Excellent value, with Arthur and his team providing a wonderful service. Merci beaucoup!

Nice hotel, though we only used it for sleeping. Didnt have breakfast as there were plenty of places for petit dejeuner close by. Could have done with better lighting on second staircase, quite dark in places. Good location, though noisey at night if you have windows open.

Great Experience

On our visit to the south of France we decided to stop in Nîmes overnight to see the temples and Roman Coliseum. We chose Hotel de l’Ampitheatre for its proximity to the train station and the sights, and high ratings. We were not disappointed. The staff is friendly and helpful, the hotel is clean and charming, and the breakfast is fresh and delicious. It felt like a lovely little Inn. If we travel to Nîmes again, we will not hesitate to return to this hotel

Right in the middle of everything in Nimes. So many excellent choices were within a 5 to 10 min walk. No elevator but the staff took our luggage up and down for us. Did not have breakfast (which looked great) because we went to a different cafe every day to take in the world. I would stay here again.
