This place is SO CUTE! Very charming and unexpected! We had to travel to the area for a wedding and found this place for the night before. After a very long and rainy drive from Michigan we were so excited when we arrived! The ONLY criticism I would give is the mini split AC in the bunk room had a very bright light on it and wouldn’t turn off, so we didn’t sleep much. But the charm, unique design, yummy restaurant, and gift shop made up for it. Wish we could’ve stayed longer!

If you want to stay in a memorable location, look no further than the Red Caboose Motel. The rooms are clean and offer many amenities on the property. They even have a petting zoo and offer buggy rides (for a fee). The restaurant served excellent food. Overall, this is an excellent place to stay and to watch the Strasburg Rail Road trail travel by several times a day. I would highly recommend staying here.

caboose is tight but nice and clean. buggy ride on site. toy train museum next door. great animal feed. nice property to walk around. train ride a few minutes away. restaurant setting is nice but food so-so. overall a nice place for family with kids.
