I had booked this through hotels.com and what I booked wasn't at all what I thoight it was. It was downtown toronto hotels and suites but it was actually a condo and not a hotel. The instructions were sent to me and then 2 hours before check in I was given new instructions to go to a different location that was a 40 min walk away because the location was unavailable due to maintenance. I contacted the agent and worked with the agent and hotels.com to get a full refund.

I would strongly advise against booking this property. The check-in process was unprofessional. Most concerning, the property failed to provide a key to the unit. We contacted the property manager multiple times and were repeatedly told they were “working on it.” However, this was a two-day stay, and despite multiple follow-ups, no key was ever provided. The issue was not a minor inconvenience. The property failed to provide a key to the unit for the duration of the stay. As a result, our employee was unable to securely leave personal belongings in the accommodation and did not feel safe during the stay. Access to a key is a basic and fundamental requirement of any hotel room or rental property. Not providing one is a complete failure to resolve a fundamental security issue. I would not recommend this property to others.

Unfortunately, the property was not on the same level as other properties advertised in the same category. The hallway carpet needs to be replaced and the elevator looks more like a freight elevator. When we got to our room the door lock was flipped so the room was open. So the bathroom lights and a lamp on, it looked like someone was in our room. It scared us. Nobody was in the room but it was still creepy with a curtain over a giant window looking into the shower from the bed. Our room did not have toilet paper - when we asked the desk, we were told the hotel ran out of toilet paper so we were to use tissues from tissue box they dropped off. Plus there was no hand soap - the front desk person tried his best with what he could access and that was an industrial looking jug of hand cleanser. The room was very hot and the portable air conditioner in the room was not adequate enough to make the room comfortable and it was loud. We travel often - at least once a month and this is the most disappointed we have been with a booking / room.
