Comfortable stay in a lovely town!

Hotel Sonne is a comfortable hotel right in the center of Lienz, a quick walk from the train and bus stations. The interior of the building itself is definitely dated and a bit austere, but that really didn’t impact my stay. My room was comfortable and had a fantastic view of the mountains. The breakfast options were great, and I appreciated that breakfast itself started at 6:00 (I’m an early riser). The staff were friendly and accommodating. I didn’t have time to try the sauna or the gym, but I’m glad they were included. The price was fair and good value.

What a disappointment. The hotel is undergoing renovations. They did not mention this on the booking site. Roof top bar not available. Outside seating in the middle of construction. Condition of hotel appalling. The staff were lovely and room was clean but very tired dated with no appeal.

The hotel is very rundown. The blinds in the room didn’t work properly. The windows were dirty. The bathroom fixtures were old and stained. The rugs were stained, worn out and not vacuumed. The only good thing to say was that the evening receptionist was very friendly, and the breakfast was good. We cannot recommend this hotel and suggest staying elsewhere. We cannot recommend staying here

Hotellet är extremt slitet och bilderna väldigt missvisande, det som syns där stämmer inte alls överens med vad man möts av. Priset är på tok för dyrt för hur äckligt hotellet var, färg som skavts av i stora flagor, badkaret såg smutsigt ut, badrummet luktade unket. Rummet var jätte varmt och gick inte att få ner värmen. Dåligt utbud på frukosten.
