Horrible staffing
Called ahead to ask how much the hold on the card is because I wanted to pay in advance (Expedia) and after being told to call back at first, I was then told $100 for the hold. When I got to the hotel, I was informed it was $300 hold because I paid through Expedia. It would have been nice to be informed of this huge difference ahead of time which is why I called before I even booked. Then when I got to the room, I realized it did not match the pictures and when I asked about it I was told that the pictures online are not accurate and there was nothing they could do about it. I was there for 2 nights, and they had the same 1 staff member working everything the ENTIRE time, I do not know much about labor laws but there has to be a violation there. Not to mention it was a long weekend and incredibly busy, this one lady was working both the buffet breakfast cooking the food and the front desk and maintaining the pool all at the same time. It was chaotic. I did not see a cleaning staff once the entire time I was there, multiple times there were spills in the elevator that went uncleaned for hours and items sitting outside guest rooms for the entirety of the stay. If they were able to get better trained staff and more of them at that, this hotel had great potential for an amazing stay. So far, I will not be coming back.
