What a perfect spot to base ourselves for a week in Jungfraujoch region. Grindelwald is a beautiful village with easy access to the entire region. Best of all was our decision to stay at Derby Swiss Hotel. Spectacular views, right next to the train station (but no noise whatsoever), a hearty included breakfast and super comfy bed. All the staff are friendly and happy, just as the website states. We were very sad to leave.

We were so happy with our 3 night stay! The location was amazing - right off the train platform! The staff at the desk made everything so easy - from check in to recommending dinning and day excursions. The breakfast was fantastic! We used the sauna which was so convenient. The views of our balcony were amazing! We could hear the cow bells during the night from the cows in the field. This was our first trip to Switzerland and I hope to come back someday and I would recommend everyone to stay here. Can’t say enough good things!

We had an amazing time at this property! What a Location!!! What great views to the mountains and we could not ask for more, we were in awe throughout the full trip! First off the staff was amazing. During my search for hotels I thought I read this one had ac. We get there and they didn’t have it. Completely my fault. We decided to take our 3 day stay to 1 and go to Zurich. Hotel is dated. Had some smells to it. I mean it is an older property. But breakfast and again the staff was amazing. Just wasn’t our place.

We had a wonderful experience during our stay. We arrived at our hotel hours before our check in and we are surprise that the staff let us checked in early and upgraded our room which have the best view, spacious and comfotable. Overall very satisfied, excellent & amazing view and location perfect. The staff are so helpful that you will not wait a long time if you need help specially the Supervisor or assistant manager (sorry I forgot the names) who assisted us on the safe deposit box, also Vanessa who showed us how their door work as airconditioner, Harrizon the front desk who checked us in and also the front desk who check us out. Breakfast is very good. Also, there are lots of food choices on their menu in the restaurant and all very satisfying. I tried their fondue, steak, etc but the most recommended one that I really like is their cold beet soup with ice cream - yummy.

Amazing views! You can't beat the convenience if you're travelling by train - it's right across the platform - and the trains are so quiet we slept with our windows open and still didn't hear them. The breakfast had everything you could desire and the staff were super friendly and knowledgeable.

The hotel is so close to the station that you'd think the noise will interrupt you. The building is fairly quiet and the staff there is amazing. There is ample seating in the restaurant and you are well taken care off. I'd definitely stay here again.
