Jo, the host who are very nice and friendly. Location is in the town centre, few minutes walk from the train station. The property is aged, but Jo maintain everything in good condition and tidy. The breakfast is good also. Compare the prices with the neighborhood, I will say it's value for money.

Enjoyable Friendly Welcoming Stay.

The room was compact but comfortable and clean. Breakfast was exactly what we expected and not disappointing in anyway. The corridor and stairway was not well lit. My only bugbear was that the property was listed as free parking but in reality, it is street parking and the luck of the draw if you can find a space nearby. I think free parking should mean that the owner can provide somewhere to park. This is more an issue for Hotels.com than for the property owner.

Great place to stay for all sorts of reasons. Convenient location for buses, trains, shops & restaurants etc in Windermere. Very quiet. Value for money. Very clean. Jo is a lovely proprietor and really makes you feel welcome. I loved the breakfast. Miniscule ensuite, but it did the job! Be aware that hot food is not allowed in the rooms, so I had to eat my takeaway in the local park (just across the road) - no problem if the weather is good, but a bit of a challenge if it isn't!

思っていた通りの宿です

5月に同宿に宿泊したらしき日本人の手書きのThanksメッセージがダイニングに飾られていました。もし、自分だったらと思うとかなり恥ずかしい状態でした。晩御飯を部屋で食べてもいいのですが、暖かい食べ物の持ち込み禁止とのことでした。詳しく聞いてみましたが、フィッシュ&チップスやピザのテイクアウトは部屋に匂いが残るからとのことです。お陰でずっとスーパーのサンドイッチを食べていましたが、ポットがあったので、粉スープでも持っていけば良かったです。
