8/10 Very good

Lovely spa, but housekeeping needs improvement Overall, we had a lovely stay and really enjoyed the spa facilities. The hotel has a lot going for it and we had a relaxing time. Unfortunately, the biggest disappointment was the cleanliness. The room was not cleaned to the standard I would expect from a hotel and spa of this level, and the rooms themselves are starting to look quite tired and would benefit from refurbishment. It is a shame because with better attention to housekeeping and some investment in the bedrooms, this could be an excellent place to stay. We still enjoyed our visit, but the cleanliness really needs addressing.

The receptionist was so lovely and helpful, I enjoyed chatting to the new bar staff he was also lovely and the coffee was really good. I never sleep in hotels but I slept really well, it wasn’t noisy and the bed and pillows were very comfy.

Overall a good stay. Our room didn’t have air con, so very warm, and the toilet seat needed replacing. Not sure if there is a limit regarding the amount of people who use the spa, but it was very busy the day we visited.

4/10 Fair

The Malvern is a hotel run around a health club and spa. The best feature is its restaurant which is modern and serves good food. The spa itself has a nice and warm indoor / outdoor pool but the facilities are dated and tired. The rooms are very tired, think 1970’s travelodge, and in desperate need of an upgrade. Staff pleasant.

6/10 Good

Room was okay, but the curtains had lots of stains on and the TV was very small. Bathroom toilet seat was also stained with urine. Cooked breakfast was great with a good variety of choices. The buffet looked lovely but needed to be covered as there were flies all over it. Lovely lounge area and pool. Cocktails were expensive 2 for £22 and that was a special offer! Very busy hotel. Pool area was packed and all the loungers occupied. I prefer something a bit quieter personally, but okay if you don't mind it being busy. Was offered flip flops at check in which I accepted, unfortunately they were used, so I didn't wear them.

6/10 Good

Ok experience. Expected more to be honest. Parts of spa need much needed maintenance…. and breakfast….. meats/yoghurts left out on an ambient table (not chilled) for entirety of service. Within guidelines, but does not ensure best quality. Went to spa, Stayed overnight, had breakfast and then went to spa again in morning (approx 8am). Bins not emptied from previous day, flavoured waters not filled up from previous day and general cleanliness of spa facilities not the best. Positive note: Evening meal very nice Probably wouldn’t return if I’m being completely honest.
