6/10 Good

Good for the price

Nice hotel for the price and staff were very friendly. Room next to the stairs wasn’t ideal as it sounded like the England rugby team were leaving at 6am

Accommodating

Flexible check in and accommodating car parking, combined with a very good breakfast made meant I looked no further when I returned to the town a couple of days later. Air-con would have been nice in the heatwave, but not a deal breaker.
Andy, 1-night trip

Great Stay

We all enjoyed our stay and the staff were great. Only suggestion is that you could really do with a commercial toaster for breakfast - a domestic one takes forever!

Needs an update

Beautiful setting, close to town but feels like it’s in the country. The hotel is dated, wallpaper peeling in public rooms, window frames rotten. Gaps in window frames. Marks on the bath from age. Seats in conservatory are rickety. Service at breakfast is slow. No fresh fruit, only defrosted berries. Quality of cooked food was good. Staff do their job but not very welcoming except girl in the bar who was lovely.

Lovely Hotel

I have stayed here twice now and each stay has been lovely. The staff are really helpful and nice. The breakfast is nice not too much, just enough. Also not far from the shops and nearby restaurants.

Dreamy stay

Lovely stay at the hotel Very relaxing Our room was the Oakley suite which I would recommend to a couple looking for a luxurious break It has stairs with a bathroom at the top so prob not best for anyone with access needs. Staff were lovely and welcoming and the bed was the most comfortable in the world.
Alison, 1-night trip

Welcoming staff.

We attended a wake at the hotel. Sad circumstances but the staff were empathetic and the food was good.
