This is a total hideaway very different and not at all the mass corporate market. Individual and exclusive is how I would describe it. They advertise and have a lovely spa which is an extra cost. Les Jardins Secrets is a very beautiful property with lovely gardens and a peaceful atmosphere, but unfortunately the service and overall experience did not match the price point. What stood out most was the constant upselling of basic things that would normally be included or handled more graciously at a luxury hotel. Breakfast was expensive for what was offered, with additional charges even for simple egg dishes. We also found the food menu surprisingly limited, with several items unavailable during our stay. One moment that really left a bad impression was being told we could not have a simple glass of tap water by the pool after already ordering drinks, lunch, and bottled water throughout the day. It made the experience feel unnecessarily transactional rather than welcoming. The property itself is charming, but luxury hospitality is about attention to detail, generosity, and making guests feel comfortable. Sadly, that aspect was missing for us, and had we known beforehand that others had similar experiences, we likely would have stayed elsewhere.

Cet hôtel de charme, à deux pas des arènes et des concerts d'été, merveilleusement décoré ouvre sur un jardin luxuriant et enchanteur qui possède une piscine (en pleine ville!) et même un ancien cloître où lire, méditer ou rêver au son de la fontaine, comme dans un patio espagnol ou un riyad marocain, espace particulièrement bienvenu en ces périodes de canicule. Le personnel est charmant et aux petits soins. J'aimerais juste suggérer de laisser le choix au petit déjeuner entre une formule "tout salé" avec les produits sucrés en supplément et une formule "tout sucré" (à la française, mais peu diététique) avec les produits salés en supplément. Seule cette deuxième formule est disponible aujourd'hui. L'ajout de deux chaises longues autour de la piscine en zone ensoleillée, en plus de six chaises installées à l'ombre, serait également le bienvenu. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour.

Un autre monde, une autre époque, le paradis dans cet établissement plein de charme où l'on aimerait suspendre le temps... Un jardin luxuriant, une végétation exubérante, un cloître... rien depuis la rue ne permet d'imaginer une si belle demeure entretenue avec amour par ses propriétaires. Partout où le regard se pose, ce n'est qu'enchantement, tout est beau et l'atmosphère sereine... Belle chambre très agréable, excellente literie, bonnes prestations. Un petit bémol toutefois : pas de brosse dans les wc, petit déjeuner trop cher. Personnel charmant, efficace, accueil parfait avec surclassement Nous avons hâte d'y revenir à la belle saison. Si vous passez à Nîmes, ne manquez surtout pas cette adresse !!!

Spectacular in Every Way

The entire facility is spectacular. I wish we had spent more time here. The hotel is absolutely adorable. Gorgeous. The food is fabulous. The ONLY complaint I have was room temperature. Both us and the couple we were traveling with had rooms that just would not cool down at night. The a/c just would not cool down the rooms. Other than that this is the one time that the pictures actually do depict what you see and experience. Amazing. We will be back.

It's not a five star hotel. I would call it a motel. The owners live there. She told us to be quiet at 2PM as my son was swimming since her granddaughter was sleeping. It took a shower and she came up to complain that water is leaking through the ceiling. The whole building is very old but only partially renovated. I would strongly advise against this "hotel".

Elegant French country style private mansion.

Wonderful experience. We stayed 5 nights with another couple. The owners and staff couldn't have been more helpful with restaurant and sightseeing recommendations, all first-rate, and selected for our preferences. The bedrooms were lovely, and the linens sumptuous. The main floor rooms offer privacy in elegant surroundings. The hotel is very private, with beautiful gardens, and a short walk to the old city. This was our second stay at this hotel, and we rate it highly.
