Booked a delux twin but allocated a family delux room. No heating on in Hotel, relocated to warmer room and fan heater provided. Staff and food all very good. Hotel must have been very good in its prime but now showing its age and rather out of date in some respects ... eg. boiler/ water filled radiators with old thermostatic valves rather than air conditioning and warm air heating. Both rooms had taped off wires sticking out of ceiling. Overall the experience was good in parts but for prices charged could be better for the premium hotel in Workington.

The sleepwell part of the hotel is clearly not 4*, the room was at best basic, but also dirty, stains on the carpet. Staff we very helpful in moving me to the main hotel building, the room in the main hotel was again very basic and dated but at least it was clean, the bathroom facilities were extremely dated.

The hotel was very nice, clean and pleasant with very accommodating staff who are very keen to help me if required. I was there on business so I managed to get a very good nights sleep every night. I was on the top floor and it was extremely comfortable and I slept well. The swimming pool sauna and Jacuzzi were an excellent addition that I used each night. Overall, a very nice experience

I would definitely stay at this hotel again, but next time I would request a different room. The room was extremely hot like a sauna even with the heating turned off and the window open. It was located above the pool, and you could feel the heat coming up through the floor. I dined in the restaurant and the food was excellent.

Power cut on my side of the building in the evening and not turned back on until after I had checked out in the morning. Had to shower in the dark and was unable to charge any work or personal devices. Breakfast was very good.

hotel very handy for shops etc. very good room (3) surprised really. all the usual bed bath shower etc but this room included a lounge area and a bit of a kitchen area. sink fridge and for some reason a dish washer . in the cupboards was one plate . no glasses so we was baffled. the room was a bit warm but wasnt a problem . The bar is ok but could do with more choice of real beers breakfast we had Washington grill which was very tasty. for those visiting Cumbria this hotel is 30 min drive from keswick or you can go via a bus which goes via Cockermouth.Train station is 15 min walk and you can go to Carlisle, 25 mins roughly,or along coast ,repair works permitting, to barrow seeing places like st bees , drigg or grange over sands. overall a good nights stay. a big thankyou to all the staff

Central location in the town centre. There is a pool and hot tub, sauna was out of order, and it's a small area. Changing facilities are small but clean. There are a couple of reasonably priced dining options in the hotel, but you're in the middle of town so easy access to other restaurants. The room was a decent size, but outdated decor, clean and tidy. It was a bit noisy Friday night, but in the middle of town so to be expected. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Overall, we had a good experience and stay there, Central location was useful, and the pool was a nice touch.

Pleasant but not expected.

I’m sure staying in the main hotel would be a lot more comfortable. But being unaware of staying in the “annex”, basically a disused building which has been converted into rooms a while ago showing signs of being dated. If I was made fully aware of this I wouldn’t have booked or made sure I was staying within the main hotel. Im sure the rooms there would have been much more comfortable as the restaurant was great and very in keeping with the building.

Terrible parking

The ‘annex’ rooms are across a busy rowing 2 crossings. The parking was absolutely shocking. To be fair the restaurant evening service and food were excellent but too much hassle backwards and forwards for me. Won’t be returning.
