A beautiful Riad set in the hearth of the Medina. This hotel feels like home and beautifully designed which kept all of its traditional values. Breakfast is beautiful. I had the best nights sleep in a good while. The knowledge the staff shared in regards to shared taxis and local amenities was appropriated. Will visit again.

They use heavily scented detergent and shampoo so everything smelled too strongly of perfume. Had to keep the windows closed because kitty litter smell came I through the windows. It was too loud to get a good rest. Motorcycles and people talking outside the thin windows til 2 am. Dar al hajja or dar doura are much better quiet places to stay. The price was cheap and the staff was amazing but the location of this place was not ideal.

The Riad is a great place for those who seek the experience of living in a medina, the traditional city-settlement. It is close to the taxi stand, streets buzzing with the local market selling everything one would expect to find on a Mediterranean-Arab bazaar. People are friendly. A person with high standards of cleanliness will have a hard time adjusting.

From the outside it doesn't seem very attractive but once you enter inside the property through a side gate, the brilliant regal style decor captures your imagination and transports you back to 18th and 19th centuries lavish accommodation.

I really enjoyed my stay at Riad Baddi. I stayed for 3 nights and was treated very well. The room was well appointed, quiet and exceptionally clean. The bathroom was adequate with as much hot water as I wanted. The riad itself has a kind of understated homeliness which I really appreciated. The staff were all attentive and polite and helped answer my questions on many occasions. The breakfast was superb and although there wasn’t much choice; it provided me with everything I needed for the day and was served in a lovely salon. Despite being tucked away in Sale, it was no bother to get a taxi anywhere and the train station in Sale was only a km away. Be prepared to walk with your luggage a few hundred meters as the riad is not accessible by car. Overall I was highly recommend a stay here for a traveller who is watching their budget and wants to feel safe and well cared for.

The staff are what makes this place good. The 4 staff I met during my stay were great - helpful and kind. They could not do enough for me. Mohammed arranged a private tour of Rabat; every tourist should give this a go. The Riad itself is mesmerising but in a bad state of disrepair, so please do not expect luxury. It does however have a lot of history so if you don’t mind disrespair but want to stay somewhere authentic this is the place to try. The single room was ok but I decided to upgrade for the last 2 nights to the suite as the other room was very small. For some people that would be ok, it was just a personal choice to go bigger. The Riad owners should however invest in repairs and fixing simple things like light bulbs and shower handles. It’s a shame they don’t do this. The breakfast was very good; tasty and fresh. The ladies who make it are so friendly. The food on offer was repetitive but as it is a free breakfast there is nothing to really complain about. Every day fresh natural omelette, breads, cheese triangle, spreads, orange juice and tea/coffee. There are no restaurants close by so you need to travel out of the area but there is a good take away coffee place called Bab Chaafa 2 minutes walk. The staff there are very friendly. There are a couple of local tuc-style shops that sell a variety of snacks and I used the one near Bab Chaafa because the old man was honest and his products varied and fresh unlike the other shop diagonally across it. Nous y avons séjourné durant 4 nuits. Service hors-pairs et sans aucun désagrément. Le "rooftop" offre une vue imprenable sur la médina de Salé et plus au loin, tel que la tour en construction de Mohammed VI et aussi la tour du minaret inachevé de Hassan. Seul petit bémol, la climatisation a cessée de fonctionner. Sinon, zéro souci. Merci aux hôtes pour l'accueil et d'avoir ouvert leurs portes pour nous.
