I stayed for two nights over a weekend and while the accommodation itself was clean, comfortable and generally pleasant, there were a few things I wish I’d known beforehand.
First, the staff were excellent — extremely friendly and went out of their way to accommodate my needs, including putting me in a more suitable room, which I really appreciated. The room itself was spacious, clean, and very dog-friendly, with plenty of space for my dogs and their beds.
However, the listing didn’t mention that the property is also a bar, and on both Friday and Saturday night it was extremely noisy, with a lot of drunk people just outside my room and quite a bit of broken glass on the ground, which made me nervous for the dogs. It’s not ideal if you’re looking for a quiet or family-friendly stay.
The breakfast was a basic continental option — perfectly fine, but nothing special. Parking was a bit of an issue too, as the disabled bays were taken by vehicles without badges.
Overall, it wasn’t a bad stay, and it could be great if you’re planning a night out and want somewhere close by to crash. But I probably wouldn’t stay again myself, and I’d suggest checking whether there’s likely to be weekend noise before booking.
