A very good hotel close to the city centre and New Street rail station. We had a very good night's uninterrupted sleep and a very good breakfast. Recommended.

At check-in the receptionist was lovely, she efficiently got us ready to go into the room. When we opened the door there was two standing fans there and when trying to turn the AC on nothing happened. We called reception and another fan was given however, the room was so unbearable to be in we decided to check out. Again the receptionist was really understanding and as there weren’t any other rooms available offered a refund for our room. Amazing staff Terrible room

We have stayed in a few of the balcony rooms to date. They’re always lovely. However, this time the room was looking a little tired. The curtains were hanging off the rails in 2 places & we didn’t have any patio furniture which was a shame as the balcony was very large. Other balcony rooms we’ve stayed in before had patio furniture so we could make the most of being outside.

The rooms do not have air conditioning. As they are in a tower block with big windows which don’t open, the room was stifling. Two fans didn’t touch it. I felt sorry for the staff on the desk. The breakfast was lovely and the areas special with the views. The staff were all smiley friendly and helpful. The rooms were good spec but the carpets had lots of marks and spills on it. The room was incredibly hot and the air conditioning didn’t seem to be working. There were some fans in the room which helped a little but not much through the night. No one mentioned that there was a problem. Very good site in the centre of Birmingham and worked for us.
