Nice and cozy!

We enjoyed our stay in this cozy hotel! The location was very good, basically right next to the Gotland Museum, and within minutes of the square, harbor, and shopping. The breakfast was great with seating in a picturesque room.

It is a lovely hotel with very old stye decoration. The best place is the dining area for breakfast. It is more than words can describe. You have to be there to feel it. But there are also problems with this hotel. For example, some deails in our room are not so nice to see: 1. there was an old sock on top of the bed up cover in the first floor 2. The edge of a small green sofa in our room was peeled of by someone and it was not fixed. 3. The shampoo and gel bottle was empty and we asked the front desk to refill it before we went out for the day, but it was still empty when we came back, had to shower without shampoo or shower gel 4. There is no lift in the hotel, not friendly for a family with a stroller for baby like us, every time we went out or came back, we needed to carry the stoller to our room

I spent 5 nights and was in heaven. Beautifully decorated and kept up. It was like stepping back in time. Having a full kitchen is a great option if you would rather not eat out. WiFi is spotty but you're on a Viking island. Thank you to everyone for a wonderful time.

Overordnet set tilfreds, men heller ikke mere end det. Rummet var noget slidt. Låge i køkkenskab lukkede ikke ordenligt. Lamper på øverste etage fungerede ikke. Rengøringen var nogenlunde. Der lå dog slik og slikpapir under sengene og der var spindelvæv i døråbningen ind til toilettet og i loftet. Udover det var der tallerkner og bestik fra tidligere beboer i opvaskemaskinen. Hvis man virkelig vil lave en gammeldags indretning med en masse møbler, billeder og andre ting på værelset, så forudsætter det også, at man skruer op for rengøringen. Morgenmaden var standard morgenmad. Beliggenheden er meget central. Man skal dog være opmærksom på, at der er en del støj fra en bar på den anden side af vejen, hvis man har åbne vinduer om natten. Som sagt var vi tilfredse med opholdet, men hvis man tager prisen i betragtning levede det ikke helt op til den standard, som vi forventede.

Personalen behöver blir bättre på att hälsa alla välkomna till frukosten. Musiken i frukostmatsalen passar inte alls till rummet, det spelades modern techno, inte bra. Madrasserna på rummet var gamla och inte alls bra för ryggen. Silverfiskar i badrummet. Men att får sova i ett hus från 14-tal är en häftig känsla.

Vi ville få frukostpaket med oss eftersom vi skulle ta färjan 07.15 och frukosten öppnade 06.30. Men fick vid incheckningen reda på att man måste säga till om det minst 24 timmar i förväg. Och att receptionen kunde lämna en not om vårt önskemål till frukost-ansvarig var helt omöjligt.

Frukostbuffén fylldes på alldeles för långsamt och många fick sitta och vänta alldeles för länge. Papperskorgar i sviten var inte tömda och det stod tomma vinflaskor kvar efter tidigare gäster och det fanns heller ingen kökshandduk i pentryt.

Toppenläge i Visby stadskärna nära hamnen där man kan bada från brygga. Hotellet var mycket fint. Vi bodde i en svit men fyra sängar. Den enda nackdelen var att det (mitten av augusti) var ganska varmt på rummet och svårt att vädra. Kanske ett hotell som gör sig bäst höst/vinter. Väldigt mysig inredning både i rummet och matsalen.
