The staff were all so friendly and helpful. I asked them beforehand if they could do anything special for my children’s birthday and they decorated the room with balloons for them. The pool was lovely, although worth noting that kids can’t be in there after 7pm. The breakfast was ok, nothing wrong with it but not amazing.

The room was spacious and clean apart from a few cobwebs these co webs were also noticeable in other places so not dirty just needs cobwebs removing!!the room could do with some hooks dotted about... although still room 4 clothes and wardrobes was nice size but again more coat hangers needed... the bath was deep and relaxing...Staff were very friendly and helpful food and drinks were pricey and although room service was available they didnt do breakfast room service which I would have liked ...the pool was nice but changing rooms were a bit smelly surrounding area was nice and quiet but town was only 10min drive away if needed supplies plenty of parking on site x

What a charming hotel! The new owners are lovely and so attentive, our room was spacious, clean and modern. The area is lovely and peaceful and the pool next door was free to use and clean also. We were very happy on our trip here and had a lovely time! Definitely recommend!

Great staff. Room was modern and clean. The mattress was terrible though - I could feel the springs. The spa and pool were good, and the gym was surprisingly good. The grounds were pretty.

6/10 Good

Very disappointed that when advertised as air conditioned I found it wasn’t working. Several others had the same complaint, after being promised a fan for my second night I was again disappointed. I was told that they had no fans, bit below par for a nominal £150 a night b&b. A fan eventually arrived, room a steady 37 degrees so I relented. Shame there is no catering apart from breakfast. I will say though that staff were courteous and helpful.

The entrance to the hotel is lovely and has a warm open feel. The new bar area looked well decorated and full of drinks to enjoy - staff were more than happy to help provide cold water for us and ice as well. The receptionist was welcoming, only thing was she didn't mention how to get to our room, we had to ask and there are no information booklets so be sure to have an idea of days out if on holiday. Room was bright and clean, it had a strange fan in the room which wasn't making it any cooler but had brought our own USB fan from home and with USB ports in the plug sockets it was perfect! Loads of plug sockets and conveniently placed. Only slight downside was the pool and 'spa' - pool has cracked/ missing tiles and as far as we could see there weren't any treatment rooms, but lovely staff and there was a sauna for a relax after swimming with comfy sun loungers on the pool side and gym which we didn't use. We didn't have an evening meal but we had breakfast every day with a great range of drinks, English Breakfast, gluten free cornflakes and toast (you need to ask for this) and lots of jams or honey or marmalade to choose from! Very delicious and the staff were really helpful and attentive - making sure everything was topped up. Really pleasant stay and perfect for a little get away!

We checked in and were allocated the wrong room. We were upgraded to a better room but overall the place needs updating and cleaning in parts. The pool changing rooms smell. Breakfast was ok. Needs alot of TLC to bring it up to spec.
