The staff was helpful the minute we arrived with check in and food recommendations . The rooms were clean and the property was very quiet all night. Stayed here recently for an early start to a sporting event in Clare. The property is well located, very clean and has shops and restaurants nearby. When we checked in we were told that breakfast only started at 8am which was somewhat later than what we expected. Reception then told us that there would be food available before that but when we went down there was nothing whatsoever which was disappointing for such a well reviewed place. We needed to leave, so alas we left hungry!!!!

No air conditioning, but there was a fan in the room. We got a room facing the west sun, so it got really warm in the afternoon. But there are some nice common areas to hang out in that are more temperate. Breakfast was BUSY! The staff worked hard to continually replace all the food that the guests were consuming. We felt like the photos were misleading, as it looked as though there was a fridge and a washer for our room. But wasn’t so. Also, the morning breakfast-is not at convenient times for travellers on the go. It only started at 8am. Which was frustrating because we were hoping to have food before leaving and had not planned for not having that option. The parking was very limited. The website says they close at 10pm, but in another message and after calling it was confirmed to be 9pm. We rushed to arrive before close at 9. The beds were comfortable and the washroom was clean. Just a few things we were disappointed about upon arrival.

From the moment we arrived Kayla was warm & welcoming. If I could give a rating of 10 out of 10 I would! There was not 1 aspect of the Kivara Guesthouse that needed to be improved. The rooms are spotless and yet so inviting. The breakfast was absolutely lovely and included warm fresh scones & pastries. If you are looking for a fabulous place yo stay do not hesitate to book! We will definitely be back.
