A disappointing stay. I was switched to a different type of room without my consent which set in chain a catalogue of errors. The Waymark tried to overcharge me by $300 for a room I had not requested. When I pointed this out, they proceeded to make such a mess of correcting my bill that they overcharged me again by a further $180. I am still in the process of recovering these funds.
The bedroom was okay but the original office floors have been retained from pre-renovation consequently the bedroom floors look and feel dirty. In addition, the floor of the first room I was assigned had not been vacuumed and there were wrappers on the floor in the corner of the room. The bed cover was tattered. Overall, the rooms don't look as clean and well cared for as you would expect from a relatively new hotel.
The rooftop bar was a better experience. I enjoyed an evening meal there overlooking Chattanooga. The food was good and the server was friendly and helpful.
The main strength of the hotel is its location. It is very central and within walking distance of many of the main attractions, cafes and restaurants.
If the room quality was better, I might consider staying here again, but overall, given all the inconvenience they caused me with incorrect charges, I doubt I will visit again.
