The staff at the Compass was amazing from top to bottom. Check in was wonderful, housekeeping always had a smile, and the waitstaff was comparable to none. The next time we are in the area that will definitely be my first choice in lodging. We were even able to have friends come in and pick us up by boat to go exploring while we stayed. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a great stay in Beaufort.

This was a beautiful brand new hotel. The balcony looking out over the Marina was a gorgeous view. The buffet breakfast had soo many choices and it was all fresh and made in-house. All the staff we encountered were very nice. Would absolutely stay here again!

The hotel and room were generally clean. However, our room was not ready at regular checkin time. They did give us a $25 gift card for the delay. Our room was nice. Our bathroom could have been a little cleaner. We have decades experience in the hospitality industry, so we know where to look. The cleanliness would be an A, just not an A+. The staff were helpful and responsive. Breakfast was good, but not at the level I expected based on some reviews I read. All being said, I would stay at the Compass again, if in the area.

Brand new, super clean rooms. Comfortable beds. Delicious food; the chips and dip was a very affordable and delectable appetizer. Very friendly staff (including the front desk, the restaurant host, the servers-shout out to Amy-and the breakfast crew). Only complaint is the fire alarm at 5:00 in the morning…but I’m assuming that is just our bad luck.😄

This was one of the best little getaways. It is a brand new resort hotel with a fabulous bar and grill, marina, and swimming pool. Rooms are beautiful and very comfortable. Staff was so helpful and friendly. We were going to go somewhere else to eat but the bar and grill was so nice we decided to stay and eat there. We had great fish and shrimp tacos and then we took a three block walk to the waterfront in Beaufort past the beautiful historic homes. The following morning we had a great breakfast with real scrambled eggs, mini quiches, bacon, sausage, pancakes, cereal, and all the other breakfast standards. It was just a perfect location and stay. You will not regret staying at this hotel.

The ad on hotels.com showed that valet parking available but it wasn’t clear that almost ALL of the parking is valet and if you don’t get one of the few spots that are free or park in the street, you are forced to do valet parking. So plan on paying a minimum of $15 for overnight and more if you are staying longer. Overall the staff was nice, but the lady checking us didn’t have a welcome demeanor. The showers are only half enclosed and do not have a full door or curtain. Otherwise we ensure our stay very much and the breakfast was top notch compared to most other hotels.

This is a great property, and I would have given it 5 stars is the valet situation wasn’t as absurd as it was. The entire front parking lot is reserved for valet only leaving only a few parking spots on the side of the hotel and street parking. During our stay, only 2 or 3 people utilized valet for their stay. Perhaps it was busier when the restaurant was open. Hotel patrons should not have to park down the street. Compass is nice, but it’s not the Ritz - it’s more like an upscale Holiday Inn. Figure something else out for valet - it’s a huge inconvenience to those of us who just want to get in our cars and go. As for everything else, the hotel was very clean, the breakfast buffet was a great surprise, the staff was very friendly, and the food and drinks at the restaurant were pretty good. I’ll be coming back in April.

AMAZING! Once you stay here, you will definitely want to return. The complimentary breakfast will save you lots of money and is absolutely delicious! The complimentary water, coffee and mini desserts throughout the day is a very special touch to your trip. I'll be craving those tiny desserts until I can go back. The branded Margaritaville shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap and lotion in the room makes your stay very convenient, you do not even need to bring your own because these smell out of this world! The place is SO clean, not to mention the branded air freshener that you long to smell once you leave. The atmosphere in the lobby is very welcoming. My family and I spent a lot of time there making memories, playing games and ordering desserts and pina coladas! The chocolate cake is a "must!" This is an all around perfect place to stay. It is convenient for walking to the Beaufort waterfront, fishing and dining. Towels are provided at the pool and you can lounge at the pool and order lunch and dinner! We will definitely be returning to paradise!
