The support team at The Wings Hotel Pera were so kind and helpful during our 8-day stay: Fatih Hocalar at breakfast was extremely friendly, our housekeeper, Fatos kept our room spotless. And Bharat the porter was helpful and spoke excellent English. The hotel itself is a very nice, boutique style hotel. It’s located one street away from the main shopping area and is surrounded by hundreds of restaurants. In short, a good location in the new town - it felt very local and safe. Our room - a premium delux - was very comfortable and big enough for a sofa bed for the third person. Located at the front of the hotel, it was quite noisy at night - the restaurant opposite had live music, there’s a bar outside and traffic is noisy. Given it’s a city centre hotel, there’s no outside space (other than a small smoking area on the street at the front. Breakfast (accessed by a lift which goes to every floor) is on the top floor with lovely views. It’s a Turkish breakfast served on a platter with multiple small dishes of olives, cheese, meats, honey, etc - very nice and good quality but for an extended stay became repetitive. There’s lots of practical things like kettle, fridge, safe, water, coffee and nice touches like dressing gowns. It all felt sophisticated and I would recommend this hotel.

The staff were exceptionally helpful. Erkan Ozbek was very friendly and recommended some neighborhood we should explore. Arda can answer to all your questions about the city sites and shops. Burak was very efficient and helpful. The whole staff was so accommodating with every question we had. We spent three days in the old town very interesting to see all antiquities. This is in Taksim area and a very vibrant community. You have to see both to have a great instanbul experince.

As a hotel executive in New York City, I am a big fan of Turkish hospitality. No country can beat Turkish hospitality and service culture. My room was modest and clean. Everyday cleaning service and clean towels were making me feel so happy once I was back to my hotel room. Every day, 1 liter of complimentary Turkish mineral water was a simple, polite amenity. I did not get a chance to use the rooftop breakfast, however. The Pera district offers tons of great restaurant and cocktail bar options. Mahir Lokantasi ( gourmet's favorite) was also tasty and authentic. We will be back in August for another trip!

Konaklamamız boyunca her şeyden çok memnun kaldık. Tüm çalışanlar yardımcı olmak için ellerinden geleni yaptılar ve genel olarak oldukça kibarlardı. Odalar bakımlı ve temizdi. Otelin bulunduğu konum İstiklal Caddesine çok yakındı. Odaya gece geç saatte dönmeme rağmen sokakta güvende hissettim. Otelin hemen yanında Türk mutfağını deneyimleyebileceğiniz mekanlar bulunuyor. Çıkış günümüzde ricamız üzerine bavullarımızı otelde bırakabileceğimizi söylediler, akşam geç saatte gidip almamıza rağmen yardımcı oldular. Çalışanlara çok teşekkür ederim. Daha ucuza bulunabilecek oteller olsa da, ödediğimiz ücret aldığımız hizmete değerdi. İstanbul’a bir sonraki seyahatimde benim için ilk seçeneklerden biri olacaktır.
