Luxurious apartment with a lovely balcony with panoramic views on the 21st floor. Access to a large open-air pool area on the 8th floor, also with excellent views. We really got more than we thought we would, e.g. two bathrooms and washing machine, and the host even sent a car to pick us up at the airport for free.
There are two main reasons why they still get 1 star. Firstly, we got an apartment in a completely different area from what we booked (which I suppose was the reason they offered to pick us up). We didn't know the city and didn't have a strong preference regarding area, so it was fine for us, but I still find that unacceptable. It was 15 minutes by car further from the central area from where we actually booked. In both the lobby and in front of the elevators, there were huge signs with red capital letters saying short-term rentals were strictly forbidden. I suppose that didn't make any material difference to us, but still quite uncomfortable. Lastly, the air conditioner in one of the bedrooms didn't work and there was no hot water in the shower for the last five days of our stay.
