The room was a good size for a single room with en-suite. The decor was tired but ok. The room was clean except for several stains on the carpet which some good carpet cleaner ought to be able to sort out. I got the room for a reduced price on Hotels.com so it was acceptable value for money. I would not have said that if I had paid the full price.

The hotel was somewhere to stay for the night. Basic, but clean with necessary amenities. The location was a challenge to find on a busy road, but a call to the staff provided a courteous and helpful set of directions, with one outside to guide me into the parking space. En~suite toilet and shower, TV and tea making facilities. Good value for money if you are looking for a cheap and simple place to stay.

This must be the poorest quality establishment I have ever stayed at!Poor, lumpy mattress, the place was grubby, in need of major TLC.A piece of string for a bathroom light switch. Room was not attended to the at all.I assume no checks are carried out by on line booking agents!How this place got a licence to operate is beyond me

I stayed for one night and appreciated having an affordable place close to the station, with plenty of shops nearby. I was also happy to find a kettle with coffee and tea, which made for a fresh and pleasant morning. The only downside was that there was no hand soap or shampoo provided, which would have made the stay more comfortable. Overall, I’m satisfied with what I received for the price and happy with my stay

You get what you pay for. The room was very dated, carpeted bathroom, bedding was relatively clean but the bed wasn't hugely comfortable. Didn't use the mugs in the room as they were dirty. However, it was incredibly cheap so can't complain at that price.

Walking up to the hotel you have to wade through broken bottles and cans. The bar is ok, but the room was filthy, with heavily stained carpets and no curtains. The sash window didn't open so the urine smell never left... I'm not sure the sheets and duvet cover had ever been cleaned and the headboard (complete with hole) fell off halfway through the night. The hole next to the bed had a hole as well, I'm not sure if this was a feature... The shower was passable, although I couldn't stand up to pee as the sloping roof was directly above the toilet.

Stayed just one night in a twin room, which was fine for the relatively low price and included free parking. A lovely old building, but in need of some decoration to freshen it up a bit. No soap in the bathroom. Can't comment on the dining area or food as we didn't have any. Didn't see anyone else staying there, but was told they were fairly busy? Bar area OK, a short use of the dart board resulted in the surrounding tyre falling off when removing the darts. Cigarette stub under a seat in the same area (possibly walked in on someone's shoe?). Staff (mostly one man), was very nice and helpful.

Room was nothing like posted in pictures on web site was absolutely disgusting Whole place smelt of people smoking canabis even though there was no smoking policy . Car park was full of dog faecea. Glad my car was still there as parking was horrendous. Wouldnt recommend at all. Bedding was all stained covered in dog faeces

Radiators in the room must have been for decoration, there was no heating on a freezing cold night, owners must have known this because on arrival we were handed a tiny fan heater, which made little difference in a big room. Toilet wasnt clean, bathroom light didnt work initially, towels weren't provided until I went to reception and asked for them, bed was uncomfortable. Genuinely glad I didn't pay a huge amount for the room because it is one of the worst stays I've had. Only 2 stars instead of 1 because the shower was actually warm, the TV worked and the room was quiet despite its location.
