Well designed and thoughtfully laid out rooms. We especially enjoyed the Japanese style breakfast served in our room, which we calmly enjoyed in our massive bed and matcha green pyjamas that the hotel provided. The room also had lots of space to store suitcases and clothing. As well as a massive bathtub and walk in shower. Unfortunately the onsen was undergoing repairs but we were able to make use of the sauna and plunge pool. The staff were very kind and helpful in explaining the breakfast options and getting us settled in our room.

Our room was clean and very nice. The photos on Expedia doesn't do it justice. Plenty of amenities that includes 3 different complimentary drinks that get refilled daily, senbei snacks, and the usual toiletries and sleep wear. The onsite Onsen is simple, but clean and was never crowded. Close to all the shops, temples, many local restaurants, bakeries, and coffee shops. Great place to stay to get away from the noisy touristy areas, but close enough to go everywhere by foot.
