The property is thoughtfully designed. As you drive onto the property, you’re greeted with a grandiose building with a large opening in the middle that flows to a lagoon like pool, stretching to the ocean. Thoroughly enjoyed our junior suite, they gave us a beautiful view of the ocean and your property.

One this property's best assets is their staff. Everyone is helpful, friendly, professional, and welcoming. They could use a concierge to help navigate the island's activities. The room was EXACTLY as pictured and quite comfortable!! It's also right down the road about a 3-5 minute walk to the local grocery store. The grounds are well kept. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay again!!

Beautiful resort and location. It just opened on March 1, 2026 so it had only been open for a couple of weeks before we arrived. They were still hiring staff so restaurants were only open part time. Staff is wonderful and in a couple of months all should be up and running and fabulous. I would definitely go back

6/10 Good

The Tahiti Lagoon is an airy hotel with many Tahitian features including the impressive lobby. Staff are very pleasant and interact. Room size in the main hotel (can’t speak for huts over the sea) is good, proper European bathtubs. Beds and bedding extremely comfortable. Pool is shallow but large, although looking a bit dated and in need of TLC. There’s a general air of “almost …. room for improvement”. Breakfast adequate but not inspiring. Beach area is good, beach bar has a relaxing vibe, especially after sunset. The sea is clean, warm, good for snorkelling (gear provided free). At least two flights a day arrive from LAX before dawn yet the hotel seems unable to accommodate early check-ins, with reception staff rigidly insisting 3pm earliest. This is clearly nonsense - when we stayed Tahiti Lagoon had about 50% occupancy, so rooms were certainly available. But “computer said no” - if you arrive at 6am you’re expected to stick around in your sweaty travel clothes for another 9 hours. Miraculously the manager let us check in at noon, but this seems to be an increasing trend of hotels not to release rooms for early guests as soon as they arrive because “it’s policy”. It’s not hard! Asian hotels understand early flights and never pretend there’s a problem checking in immediately guests arrive. (Of note - our flight crew arrived shortly after us ….and all went to their rooms immediately!). One rule for them… Overall a nice laid back tropical hotel, but overpriced.

The hotel was fabulous. The beach the pool was wonderful. The main restaurant for lunch and dinner was delicious everytime. The only negatine thing was tbe buffet breakfast. Out of most things eggs cold. The Host was helpful and agreed so we were only charged 25. Other than that it was fabulous. Spend the extra money and get a Bungalow.

The staff were fantastic, the refurbished over water bungalow was excellent, and bed super comfortable. Its a shame that the coral around the resort / under the bungalow that you can see through the glass floor is not living - but there are quite a lot of fish. Also would be nice to have steps down into the water from the deck, but then that would not help the coral ;)

This is a tired old property in a beautiful setting, that is well used by locals. The most obvious improvement since reopening is the restaurant near the pool which served good food at a reasonable price.

Tired, outdated rooms that felt worn and poorly maintained. Unfortunately, the service was equally disappointing, with staff seeming uninterested and unhelpful throughout our stay.

It’s an excellent snorkeling place. There a lot of colorful fish and corals. We use resort’s kayaks. The restaurant serves good food. There is a supermarket nearby. Staffs are very friendly.

We loved our stay here. This is one of the only properties with direct beach access. We took the paddle boards and kayaks over the coral reef lagoon. We took amazing sunset pictures off the over the water bungalow docks. The restaurant had a busy night life “salsa night” on the last Sunday of the month which we got to be a part of. The pool is fantastic. The beds were so comfortable. I really enjoyed the stay

Important: if using Google Maps, make sure to turn right immediately after the Vini Vini in the commercial area. The old location leads to the maintenance area and no way to enter the lobby. A beautiful location with the best view of the sunset but the hotel needs some TLC. The rooms themselves are clean and pleasant, but the elevators and stairwells are very dirty. The entrance is beautiful but lacking ambiance (furniture, decor, music, employees). The lagoon area is nice but needs some landscaping. Beach access is nice. Restaurant on the beach is nice. Signage also needs updating. Staff were friendly but still in training. I think the hotel should have delayed it's reopening for another month or two, really cleaned up the place and had a soft opening for family and friends at discounted rates so the hotel could figure things out. Not sure why this stood out as well, but could also benefit from having secondary and tertiary logos (I think it's because the bar soap was wrapped in plastic wrap with the really generic text logo and it made it feel really cheap)
