Very nice hotel, but rooms are looking dated now, not 5 star at all. Some staff were great, others not very good, and are not allowed to do certain things. Stayed at the Viceoy last year in Loulé, another level in terms of rooms. Overall, nice holiday and some good things about the hotel, but not 5 star in my view. Also lots of building work going on, so take your earphones if you don’t like diggers…

The Conrad Algrave was absolutely faultless. We had an incredible 4 days for my sisters birthday. The rooms are just fabulous. And the large balcony to sit and watch the sun go down with a glass of fizz was truly a highlight. The breakfast buffet was sublime, the pools were gorgeous (if not a little cold - it was October!!). Regular visitors to this hotel. The staff, especially the guys on the door are amazing. They make the place special. Couple of areas for thought. Water in the room. Not enough supplied. Available if asked, but fridge should be replenished. Room service. Timing inconsistent. We regularly put our room to be made up at 10am. Not done until 4 or later. Then turn down two hours later. Normally better than this. Fridge. Whether stating one night or one week, the fridge has free items. I feel for the cost, the fridge should be refilled every couple of days for those staying longer. Bit of a cheap vibe for such a great hotel. These things said, we love the hotel.

Amazing Staff- the best!

Beautiful hotel and surroundings, especially comfortable beds! Rooms nicely stocked and coffee excellent . The highest ratings are for the very professional, polite, kind and responsive staff. We especially loved and appreciated Iara at the front desk and Giorgios (not spelled right) who are both a huge asset for the hotel! Hope to see them next trip!

Could have been excellent throughout our stay but for the service in the great new bar. First time I’ve ever walked away from a bar because after I put in my order we were simply ignored. Disappointing given everything else was excellent!
