The staff were excellent, very helpful, and speak excellent English. We were given an upgrade on arrival and an early check-in. The hotel is in a good location, just minutes walk from the Nice Ville train station, and about 20 minutes walk to the Promenade d’Anglais. The room was comfortable but simple. The walls were quite thin so sound travelled from corridors and adjacent rooms. The security system throughout was very modern and safe, with electronic locks and CCTV.

The hotel is unique it is small in size but big on charm,friendliness, and quality. The breakfast is cooked to order and set in a nice garden view room. The staff is very helpful and the location is close to the train station and a short walk to the promenade. It’s a good value and we would definitely stay again

What a lovely hotel in so many ways, helped enormously by the fantastic staff. They all appear to be so young (compared to me), are super friendly, helpful, and really look after you. They contact you directly via WhatsApp prior to your arrival to double-check times and any requirements you might have. My asking for some local restaurant recommendations resulted in a great list on WhatsApp, of cafés, bars, and of course, restaurants themselves. We ate at two, and they were very good. The hotel itself is down a quiet street that you might easily miss walking the four minutes or so from the Nice Ville train station. It appears to be a renovated hotel dating back to the early last century, but inside it is far from old. It has been modernised sympathetically. There is a lovely courtyard with lemon trees and other shade that would be great to eat breakfast or relax with a drink before heading out for dinner. It wasn't quite warm enough when we were there. There is a small drinks selection for purchase in the reception. Our room was compact but plenty big enough for our four-night stay. The bed is very comfy, the aircon quiet and efficient, and the room was well decorated and clean. The bathroom had a great 'rain' shower which was powerful and hot. I think you can book other bigger rooms if you needed more room. There is a TV with local channels and a few international news channels. Personally, I would have liked a small fridge, and there may well be fridges in the other rooms

The hotel is conveniently located near the train station. However, the quality of the room was not what I was expecting for the price paid. The floorboards in my room were buckling and warped, which also meant it was very difficult to close the bathroom door. The air conditioning also was not very effective (which presumably they know as there was a fan left in my room too) not sure if that was confined to my room or all rooms.

Nice hotel overall but overpriced. Close to station but quiet. Didn’t think it was particularly good value for money. Room decor is lovely but it’s still by and large quite cheaply put together- plastic basin in bathroom that stains easily and cheap damaged bedside tables. Beds were comfortable. Area near the station isn’t the nicest.

A little jewel in a quiet location but 100 metres from the gare, and 10 minutes from Metro L2 stop from the airport. Spacious rooms overlooking a courtyard with orange trees. Buffet breakfast with eggs, pancakes, fruit and yoghurt made to order.

Maison Durante is a charming hotel centrally located for an easy walk to major attractions in Vieux Nice. The Nice Ville train station is just a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The hotel is tucked away off a busy street so the rooms, which face a nice patio courtyard, are very quiet. The staff is/are incredibly friendly and helpful. Amazing breakfast was included and provided a nice assortment of bakery items, plus a menu of eggs, pancakes, yogurt with fruit available upon request. Rooms have been remodeled to a high standard and are very clean. Beds are very comfortable.. Best shower pressure of any hotel I’ve ever stayed at in any country. I highly recommend a stay at Maison Durante.

This was a beautiful property and the suite we had was gorgeous. The only issue we had was the washroom shower drain flooded and they did not fix this in time. The shower experience was not great, and the room was not cleaned when asked. They refused my request for a late checkout but one gentleman was very understanding of the situation and allowed us to check out later. This staff saved the review or I would have it 1/2 stars.
