We arrived late in the evening and the restaurant had already closed. The gentleman at the front desk went and arranged dinner for us with the chef. Service at this hotel was impeccable and much appreciated.

When we arrived the staff at the front desk immediately checked us in and went out to the parking lot to help us with our bags. Our room was roomy. The bathroom was more like an unimproved old 1960's bathroom. Everything worked but was old. Dinner was excellent and the service prompt and friendly. Being far from road traffic we slept quite well. The location outside of Inverness was an asset on our passage to Urquhart Castle and Loch Ness since we did not need to deal with that mostly industrial city. And lastly the grounds were beautiful and relaxing.

We loved staying in the cottage with so much space to ourselves. The extra bed sheets were very stained but everything else was great! Dinner and breakfast in the main house were delicious!

Hotellet ligger nydelig til og har et flott hageområdet. Vi ble møtt av en veldig hyggelig resepsjonist som viste oss til et stort rom med moderne bad. Vi tok en løpetur ved elva Ness før middag - i et stille og fredelig område. Middagen var god og lekkert tilberedt, men vi synes at det var lite mat. Etter middag tok vi en drink ved peisen i peisestuen, og resepsjonisten ga oss gode tips om cruise på Loch Ness til dagen etter. Frokosten ble redusert grunnet gassproblemer dessverre, og det ble derfor kun yoghurt og toast. Vi fikk pengene tilbake for frokosten - god service.

Staff were good and room was big but overdue for renovation as the condition was very tired with plenty of wear and tear on it especially for the high price point.

The staff were all great and the food in the restaurant was also very good. The menu was a bit limited, but everything we had was very good. The exterior of the building was nice as were the grounds. But for 300 pounds a night the room really needs work. We were in room 11, there was a 1.5inch hole in the drywall, and one wall had been so marked up by suitcases it looked like a child had colored on it. The water pressure in the shower was non existent. The chairs in the sitting room were also in rough shape and need to be restrapped. Just a total lack of basic maintenence, and thats unfortunate since this could be an amazing place.
