I was pleasantly surprised with this property. We stayed a week so my grandson could attend space camp. When I booked, it was an affordable option close to NASA. I didn’t expect much. This was the perfect hotel for a space trip. Photos of different launches all around the hotel, beautiful space artwork in the rooms & instead of curtains, our room had a roller shade with a view of earth & the moon from space. That was all a big bonus for my grandson.
Dog friendly. We brought our dog, who will never be tortured with a vacation again. She cried for days, we ended up having someone come get her. They refunded me the pet fee for the remaining days we had.
Breakfast is good. Limited, but for complimentary, it was good & convenient since we had to leave early every day.
The owner was out every day, speaking to people & actively working.
Housekeeping came daily.
The only complaint I’d have is that I had no cell service in my room. Anywhere else in the hotel, it was fine, but my room most of the time was one bar or SOS. And one day I lost wifi in my room as well. They called their IT guy & offered up a quiet spot for me to work that day. It was fixed by the next day.
Pool could use some updating, but my understanding is that they just bought it and it seems like they are prioritizing the rooms first. Hot tub was out of order when we first arrived. It was fixed a few days later.
My impression is that these are new owners & are being proactive to create a welcoming environment.
