I wonder which institution determines the number of stars because with regard to this hotel Fletcher Marijke in Bergen, people are quite wrong. The small room was known but a bathroom of very minimal size, no cold shower water, no balcony, no air conditioning or mechanical ventilation in the room, mattresses too soft, parking fee 7.50 per day, no swimming pool, you wonder where it is 4 star rating ? comes from. That will not only be based on the staff and breakfast because that was great !

Hotel was booked out. We had a reservation for four people for two nights. When we arrived there was no room available for us. We had to wait almost three hours for a solution. Solution was: We slept in a room with two small beds but were 4 People. NOW: Hotel won’t do any compensation. I paid for two nights in a family room. This is not acceptable.

There was mold at the wall in the wardrobe. I mentioned this to the lady at reception the next day when we left. The woman responsible for the household was also present there. She already knew this problem. Nevertheless, these rooms were rented to us! Luckily we were only there for one night.

Stedets eneste elevator var defekt, skulle selv slæbe bagage op på anden sal ad en stejl "hønsestige". Fik tilbudt et 12m2 stort værelse i stuen mod det bestilte på ca. 25-30 m2. Mod en merpris på omk. 500 kr. hvilket vi dog afviste. Ingen undskyldninger eller beklagelse. Stedet var meget slidt, og rengøringen af værelset meget mangelfuld. Personlalet virkede trætte og ligeglade. To stjerner er i overkanten.

Personnel avec attitude déplorable le 15/04/2026. J'ai fait une erreur dans ma réservation, mais la dame de l'accueil n'a absolument rien fait pour nous aider, hormis répéter que la réservation était disponible mais pas le jour de notre venue... Elle part 'demander' à son chef, et revient nous dire qu'ils ne peuvent rien faire... Forcément, la réservation était non remboursable et non modifiable... C'est une chaîne, mais elle n'a pas pris la peine de vérifier les disponibilités dans les autres hôtels. On a reçu un post-it avec un numéro à appeler... Très dommage car la première expérience dans un autre hôtel de la chaîne avait été super.

De accommodatie was verouderd en verwaarloosd, we zaten in losstaand gebouw met klemmende schuifdeuren, niet werkende kluis, loshangende bedlampjes die alleen uit en aangingen door de stekker eruit te trekken, douche met weinig water en afwisselend heel heet of heel koud water, doorgelegen bedmatrassen waardoor stijve rug bij opstaan, niet geisoleerde ramen en zo kan ik nog wel even doorgaan...dit is een **** sterren hotel onwaardig!
