Been to Paso many times. We decided to go to Ava since it was new and believing they had a special on site restaurant “Emre”. Website advertises how great Emre is and reservations are recommended. Not true. The restaurant is not expected to open until the end of October. One evening we went to “Esperanza” on the rooftop. I can’t believe that in a restaurant on a roof with open air sides (no windows but a roof) that they would not have heaters. The wind was blowing, and the temperature was in the low sixties/high fifties. Could not wait to leave.
Rooms are modern and tasteful. We were surprised that if you wanted to drink a cheap bottle of water it would cost you $3.00. Most hotels include cheap water bottles for free.
There is no concierge, so don’t plan on asking for help making dinner reservations or information on wineries to visit.
