While the lady in charge of the property was kind, there were a lot of problems with the place itself.
The room and bathroom doors only lock with an old skeleton style key. You cannot lock or unlock the door without it, even from the inside. If you are traveling with someone and they want to sleep while you go out and run errands, either they have to be locked in the room with no way to escape in an emergency, or you leave the door unlocked.
If you need to catch a flight and are leaving early, you have to return the key the night before and sleep in an unlocked room. The doors are difficult to latch and the keys have to be shifted around several times to get them to lock.
The bathroom is designed terribly. The sink is more narrow than my hands and it is IN the 1 sq meter shower in the communal bathroom. The shower head doesn't have anything holding it up, so it's kept in a bucket full of water on the floor. There is no nowhere to put the soap/shampoo that you have to bring, even for the sink.
The rooms have no sound barrier to dampen to noises from the hall, street, room next to you, or the bathroom if you're close. I can hear clear conversations from the sidewalk with my window shut. Every sound echos.
We had a private room and parking for 2 nights, NO towel/bedding/transport. We paid USD $220 on hotels.com. Our receipt said we would owe USD $52 on s on site. They charged $173 on site.
That's a total of $393 for 2 nights.
$196 per LOUD night and a 3+ min walk to our car.
