This hotel has the potential to be excellent as it is in a very good location being near Library Chowk but is set at the end of a side street meaning it is very quiet. The view from the rooms with balconies is also outstanding.
However, I'm not sure that this hotel is very well run. They weren't expecting my booking through Expedia but did eventually find it. The room I was given was filthy. I'm not even sure that the bed sheets had been changed from the previous occupant. The floor was dirty, the shower walls were dirty, the cabinet in the bathroom needs replaced. The shower also ran hot/cold. It doesn't matter how expensive a hotel is, at a very basic level it needs to be clean. I did complain to the owner and he assured me something would be done but it was just a usual clean and tidy so don't think the owner actually checked himself. My room needs a good scrub.
Breakfast was also a bit odd because the seating area was closed due to it being "off season" despite the town being busy. Instead breakfast needs to be ordered through a website, authenticated by OTP. Since I don't have an Indian mobile then I couldn't do this. Again, it's just a lack of thought by the owners.
It's a shame really because this hotel could be great. If I thought the room was cleaned properly then I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
