Thankyou to the whole team at Citadel Kandy. From the check in to checkout I was met with friendly helpful staff. Great service at breakfast and dinners. Excellent bar service and cocktail making. Hats off to the chefs for the range of delicious foods for the buffets. Sri Lanka is open and I’d recommend the Cinnamon Citadel as a great place to stay. Beautiful location, really lovely rooms and the staff simply can not do enough for you. The location is a bit outside of kandy about 10 to 15 minute tuk tuk ride but the prices for food and drinks are very good value and the view is amazing so we only ventured out at night once over our 3 nights.

One of the best buffets that I've ever had. Very authentic. The pool was nice, and the balcony was a nice surprise as well. The resort sits on the bank of a river so walking is a bit limited. The staff goes above and beyond.

liked the atmosphere here, felt relaxed and welcomed from the moment we arrived. The staff took really good care of everything. Boutique hotel. Pros - Stayed in Rm 279 &280 - spacious, clean, beds comfortable. Staff welcoming and very helpful, would like to recognize Roshan, Cristine, Srimali (invited for independenc day celebration), Ramki, Aman, Pubudu, among the group that helped us. There were many great staff, names not known. Cons- Location of hotel is great, but the driving is not so friendly,sharp corners, narrow bumpy street. Can cause somewhat dizzy. Lastly No Spa - Say what - Yes no spa. Hopefully in the future. Thank You for a great stay. During our trip stayed in Cinnamon Life Colombo, Cinnamon Bentota and Cinnamon Citadel. All wete great, great staff and great locations. Will be back.

We recently stayed at the Kandy Citadel Hotel and had a wonderful experience. The rooms were comfortable, well-maintained, and offered a pleasant stay. I want to give a special mention to Sadun Fernando, one of the servers, who provided exceptional service. His attentiveness and friendly demeanor made our breakfast experience even more enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend Kandy Citadel Hotel for its excellent hospitality and beautiful setting.

Serene spot in Kandy

The hotel was clean and well furnished. We had a balcony room which had fabulous view of the river, a great place for watching nature around you. It was very peaceful. The pool area is good with separate pool for toddlers. This also overlooks the river. The staff were excellent. All polite and helpful which you find a lot in Sri Lanka. The restaurant was buffet style and food good quality. We had an excellent 2 nights in Kandy. Hotel situated short distance from Town centre, uphill. Just a short ride in tuk tuk.
