We picked this hotel because of the pictures showing it is directly on the water with a beautiful patio because we love to sit outside as often as possible. When we checked in, we were told the restaurant was closed for dinner for the season so we would need to go back into town for dinner. For that reason, the following day, we had a late lunch then decided to pick up some snacks and a bottle of wine to enjoy on the patio. We were told we would not be allowed to use it for eating or drinking even though it was completely empty and there was no food service. It is such a beautiful spot but they greatly limit their guests enjoyment of it. The hotel is quite a distance and a difficult walk from the ferry. It would have been worth it had we been able to enjoy its greatest amenity. We also spoke to another couple at breakfast who were very disappointed with how they were treated for another reason. This could really be a great place but it’s not now. I would not stay there again.

I was greeted aggressively upon arrival and criticized for my check-in time, which was completely unacceptable. Although presented as a hotel, La Pergola does not have a 24-hour reception and I was forced to pay an additional €97 simply to access my accommodation. The hotel offers no reasonable alternative in the event of flight, transportation, or travel delays, leaving the guest with no choice but to pay an exorbitant penalty. I consider this charge abusive and misleading, especially if it is not clearly disclosed before booking. Lack of transparency, disrespectful service, and a policy that unfairly penalizes guests for circumstances beyond their control. I strongly do not recommend this hotel.

Boendet var rent. Terrassen var ej tillgänglig att användas, dock vacker utsikt från terrass. Svårt att komma dit, smal väg ner mot hotellet. Jobbigt att ta sig upp. Långt bort från restaurang. Det fanns inga tvålar i toaletten.

I was there in the off season. I expected a lot more fo the price they charged. Restaurant was closed. No lift and nobody to help bring my luggage down at check out. The lady in charge of breakfast was the best, so helpful and attentive without speaking any of the languages that I speak

As senhoras que nos recebem são extremamente grossas e nada prestativas, com exceção de uma senhora que serve o café da manhã que foi muito querida. Não tem restaurante, não tem serviço de quarto nem água se você precisar pedir. Não deixam nem você ir até a parte que tem vista para o lago atrás do hotel após as 19h para ver o sol. Encontramos nossa toalhas que deveriam estar limpas no chão do banheiro em um dos dias. A descrição que está no hotéis.com precisa ser revisada, pois os clientes certamente serão negativamente supreendidos. Nunca mais voltarei lá, nem indicarei.

Was an amazing hotel with gorgeous lake views and the staff were very friendly. The lady went out of her way to set me up with a taxi and also made sure she had a pot of coffee ready for me as I had an early departure.

Our room had a spectacular view of the lake. Breakfast was relatively simple but tasty, and the service was very good. Unfortunately we hadn't realized there was no air conditioning, but the room did have a ceiling fan.

We absolutely loved our stay at La Pergola Bellagio Hotel. The view from the lake view room is sensational. Comparing the price with other hotels in the area, it is value for money. They offer free continental breakfast which is served in the lovely veranda by the lake, it is so good and easy. Rooms are clean. Bathrooms are new and have been refurbished. The building itself was built in 1700s and has loads of character. The reception and staff were friendly, and helpful even some were able to speak limited English. The lady from reception helped us book a taxi for to the ferry station which was very helpful as getting Uber and taxi is quite difficult in Bellagio due to limited numbers and high demand. There is a 15min walk to the town centre, and its steps up and down, so be prepared. I could name a few things that could have been better: -the curtains in the room in NOT blockout, so sunlight comes in every morning. -there is no in-room tea/coffee facilities. -breakfast is served only from 8am to 9:30, which I think it would have been better if they started serving from 7am so people can eat and get out for their day. All in all, a great experience. Thank you 😊

The location, right on the lakeside, is what made this stay and I doubt you would gond something with a better view. The food was ok; we had dinner here on one occasion and the breakfast was standard continental style. The room itself was exteemely clean and the bathroom modern, with good wayer pressure and hot water. Bottled water was provided at additional cost. The staff were very pleasant and I would stay here again.

Quiet and comfortable with wonderful views from our terrace. The restaurant was very good but a little expensive. The downside was that if you weren’t driving your own car it was impossible to get a taxi in Bellagio. We had to drag our bags from Bellagio up a quite steep hill and down to Pescallo bay.

I wanted to give this place 5 stars. We got a lake view room (Room 1… next to the lobby toilets) and everything was great until it wasn’t. Small roaches sneaking in under the door, apparently from the lobby restrooms. I went down to get our room swapped and it was after 11pm, nobody was around. Hotels.com couldn’t even get ahold of anyone. I found some bleach type cleaning spray near the kitchen and went to town in my room, killing at least 10 of them until it was clear enough for me to get some sleep. In the morning, I was offered a room in a private house off site, but was assured they were taking care of the problem and that it was only this one room based on the proximity to the toilets. Well, spent the day wondering around Bellagio and some other towns via ferry. All seemed well, minus the Raid smell, until again, it wasn’t. This time it was before 11pm and the staff were still around. They had a room open up without the sweet lake view, but at least it was clean. We took it and had zero issues. The hotel refunded me just one night of just the extra I had paid for the upgrade. Seemed a bit underwhelming in my eyes, but better than nothing. I did manage to find free parking for our rental car at the property. And it was very close to all in Bellagio. Without the bugs, which I don’t think are normally an issue, as I didn’t see a single review about them, I would have given this place a full 5 stars down the board.

Läget är fantastiskt! Lugnt och avsides, rekommenderar verkligen ett rum med utsikt över sjön! Fräscha rum med bra ac och mindre balkong. Något hårda sängar. Lyhört ut mot korridoren när andra hotellgäster kommer sent. Endast några meter både till offentlig badplats och till båtuthyrning. Finns en del gratis gatuparkering i närområdet. Finns ett matställe i närheten med otroliga italienska mackor och hemlagad pasta (och mycket trevlig personal). Till centrala Bellagio måste man antingen gå upp och ner för många många stentrappor eller gå en omväg om ca 800m om man vill undvika trapporna. För säsongen fanns det ingen restaurang för lunch eller middag. Frukosten var en acceptabel kontinental, äggröra/omelett kostade extra (8-16€). Hotellet är två våningar utan hiss. Det var en man som arbetade i receptionen när vi checkade in, han var mycket trevlig och förklarade faciliteterna. Den äldre kvinnan som arbetade på frukosten var mycket trevlig. Har sett recensioner om två andra kvinnor som arbetar där, dom hälsade knappt och verkade väldigt ointresserade av oss gäster när det var dom som satt i receptionen. I övrigt hade vi inga bekymmer och bad inte om något från personalen så har därför ingen ytterligare erfarenhet av kvinnorna. Då hotellet ligger lite avsides rekommenderas detta för dig om vill bo nära till centrala Bellagio men vi kunna ha en lugn hotellmiljö och inte har något emot att promenera.

The hotel itself and property was beautiful. We would recommend the location and room with balcony to anyone heading to Bellagio, but the staff were stuck up & arrogant. It’s like they didn’t want you there… We were told check in was at 13:30 but were unable to get our room until 14:00. While we waited staff offered a snack of meats, breads, and cheeses, but were not told that we would be charged for it. The next day the front desk staff asked if we wanted to pay for our snack, which would cost 55 euros! Unbelievable — we would not have taken the snack if we had known. They have the worst hospitality we have had while in Italy. It’s sad because it is a beautiful place, and has so much potential.

The place is excellent. It is a former convent located right next to the lake, and breakfast is included. The only thing to keep in mind is that it’s quite a walk from the ferry terminal. You can either take the stairs or follow the longer road used by cars. There are also taxis available if you need one because of your luggage. Without luggage, it’s a very pleasant and scenic walk.
