Its our "policy"
Im usually not someone to share negatives but this is needed. And if all of this is not read I will make it short. I will never stay at any Hampton Inn, or any of their franchisees ever again.
My bf and I accidently double booked a room. When i chat through Hotel.com they said they couldn't do anything because we already paid but they would call the hotel and ask. They said they called and the hotel refused a refund. I stood there at the front desk and no phone call ever came through. So i was lied to by hotels.com first.
When i spoke with the person at the front desk i couldnt even try to explain what happened without being told " sorry we cant its our policy". There was no sincerity behind it and in favt maybe there wasn't even a sorry. No matter what i said i kept bwing cut off and told its our policy. No eye contact no listening.
All it was, was finger pointing and neither party wanted to actually help, or even talk to one another. I never che ked into the room because well, i stayed in the other one since we accidently booked 2 rooms.
Now if either party responds to this poat im sure it will continue to be a finger pointing match. There will be no resolution, and definitely not a positive outcome.
I have always used hotels.com for EVERY trip and in the past they have even helped me in a similar situation and refunded me and it was not even on the sites fault. I will no longer be using hotels.com as well.
