It is well-located on the opposite side of the lake from the old town, which is a 25 minute walk away (there are many busses; we didn’t take them). There is a bakery and a grocery (open until 7) at the end of the block, plus a couple of pizza places and more. It was a good place to stay.

Lovely hotel with really helpful and friendly staff. We opted for a larger room with a balcony, which was great. The location was handy for both the lake and for walking into Annecy centre. There were a number of car parks as well as shops (including boulangeries) in the immediate vicinity of the horel. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to others.

Moto trip with a short stop at Annecy.

A good place for a stop in Annecy. 20 min stroll into city centre, nice walk along the lake. Was a hot day and room aircon worked perfectly and beds were comfy. Small bathroom but enough space to leave toiletries without them getting wet. Parking was fully booked, though could leave moto outside front entrance, felt save enough and was ok.

Good hotel with lots of parking nearby

Staff were helpful, directed us to the (paid, reserved in advance) parking on arrival. Hotel is a pleasant 20 minute walk into Annecy around the edge of the lake. The room was adequate, not great. Breakfast seemed overpriced but there were bakeries nearby. There are other public carparks opposite the hotel which are free at certain days/times of the year. Bed was comfy and overall cleanliness was fine. A good option if you don't want to pay the excess to stay in the noisy centre of Annecy.

I was very pleased with the hotel and I think it would be a great option for you if you ever visit Annecy. The hotel is located in a nice area, close to some restaurants and shops. It is also within walking distance from the lake, where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery and activities. There is a convenient parking lot in front of the entrance (public). The hotel is clean and comfortable, with a friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are well-equipped, with free wifi. The breakfast was good, with a variety of products for a reasonable price. The only thing that could be improved is the selection of options, as I would have liked to see more fresh fruits and pastries. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay at the Hotel Catalpa and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good hotel in Annecy.

Great gem of a hotel in Annecy

We stayed here for one night while visiting Annecy. The hotel was outstanding and the staff friendly. It’s about a 30 minute walk to the city center and worth the walk. Parking is free just across the street. We didn’t pay for breakfast as there are much cheaper places in town. We had the attic room which is not recommended for anyone 6 ft or taller, but was fine for just one night.
