Check in and breakfast staff lovely. Room was clean and beds comfortable with choice of firm or soft pillows and nice bed linen. Air conditioner was a ducted type and only just cold enough. Bidet toilet did not work properly. Breakfast good with mainly Asian options but still enough to choose from for Western breakfast. The hotel is about ten minutes walk to night markets, main train station, hop on hop off bus and intercity bus station. The hotel corridors could have been better maintained with some carpet tiles lifting. Overall the hotel is a convenient place to stay and quite comfortable.

The room condition was great and spaceous. It was quiet and clean. I was able to leave my luggage before check-in, and the hotel is only 5 mins walking from downtown so there are lots of stores. I am willing to stay here again if I visit Taipei.

This hotel is about 15 years old and in very good condition. Still, there are stains on the carpets by the elevators, scratched sections of wallpaper on the way to the rooms and other minor issues that need to be addressed. The safe in our room was located on top of the cupboards, just inches below the ceiling, and inaccessible. There are several cardio machines, but no weights. I would recommend some barbells to be purchased. The manager and staff are very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again. Three doors down from the hotel entrance, there is a Buffay style restaurant that serves a large buffet for lunch, and also for dinner. We ate here several days and the maximum cost per person was $10 CDN which is very reasonable.

The hotel is old and they host a lot of group tours which I think it leads to their slightly low score as it’s always a bit loud and crowded in the lobby. The WiFi is really slow inside the hotel room but if you reach out for help there is someway to solve it. Their service is actually not bad.

The area around the hotel is great. Close to train stations, the river and night market. The room was alright. The bed was comfortable, but we got an accessible room for some reason which had a non stand up shower requiring you to hold the shower head over you to shower. The sink was also extremely small for some reason. The property is pretty dingy and due for some carpet cleaning, paint, etc. What we paid was pretty cheap though so considering things it wasn’t too bad. The younger gentleman at the front desk was also very helpful to us finding our way to the airport upon checkout.

I had a good time in this hotel. I had a reserve of no window twin bed room. But, they upgraded our room to window room. It takes about 10 min. from Taipei Station. If you walk another 10 min., you can find some good restaurants. If there is a downside, I would say there is not shower curtain. After taking a shower, the bathroom floor was flooded with water.
