Jag bokade en natt på Hanoi Sail Hotel men tyvärr blev vistelsen inte som förväntad. Redan vid ankomst visade det sig att incheckningsinformationen på Hotels.com var felaktig, då hotellet inte tillät incheckning förrän kl. 14 trots att sidan angav kl. 12. Det första rummet jag fick motsvarade inte min bokning – jag hade reserverat ett rum med en stor säng men fick två mindre. Dessutom var dörrstoppen till badrumsdörren avbruten från golvet, och låsmekanismen på rumsdörren gav ett slarvigt intryck eftersom hotellet hade ersatt den med en annan lösning utan att ta bort det tidigare fästet, vilket lämnade synliga skruvhål. Som kompensation erbjöd hotellet en alkoholfri dryck i poolbaren. Tyvärr gick detta inte att utnyttja eftersom utbudet vid tillfället var mycket begränsat till endast Red Bull och öl, och jag dricker inte energidryck. Hotellet erbjöd ett nytt rum som bättre stämde överens med min bokning, men tyvärr var städningen mycket bristfällig. Det fanns fläckar på väggarna, hår på golvet, skräp kvar i soptunnan och tandkrämsfläckar i handfatet. Helhetsintrycket var att rummet inte hade blivit ordentligt städat. Poolområdet i sig var trevligt och utsikten från taket riktigt fin, men det räckte inte för att väga upp helhetsupplevelsen. På grund av alla brister valde jag att checka ut samma kväll och stannade inte över natten.
