I am sorry to give a terrible review, but this hotel is a scam. We stayed at the hotel for 1 night of a 3 night stay. They were welcoming and the room was adequate at first. In the morning of day 2 there was a power outage to the whole building causing no electricity or water for the whole building. In addition this was during an heat wave of about 100 degrees Fahrenheit, so it was extremely hot. Staying in the room was not an option for health and safety. After being out all day, the power was still out at 11pm that night. All guests were checking out and the hotel manager promised to refund the nights “no problem at all” and apologized for the issue. I even watched him put the refund note in the computer notes to make sure it would process. It is now 10 days later and I have called daily, emailed multiple times, had hotels.com call daily and they are still giving me the run around to “approve” the refund. It’s either a no answer, no response, call back tomorrow, the manager isn’t here right now, or some other excuse. I would have said that the location and rooms were nice, but this response is TERRIBLE. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone and it really ruined our time in Rome.
